NEED HELP (TOOLS)

i really need some game developing tools(none of mine work) i hav a few, but they dont werk on my computer, pleese can someone help me with my tools
pleeeese!
 
Whenever I try to insert a tileset, the flower tile and other stuff on the top of the tileset gets deleted. :/ I've asked I lot of people for help, but there tilesets wtill do the same thing. =[

They're called "autotiles". You set them in the database, using the options to the left of the tileset's image.

Secton 17 is Pidgeotto, is there no-one that has any clue what is wrong? This is how Pidgeotto looks atm-

Honestly, you're asking for way too much. Short of someone coming up with special tech to invade your brain andc plant the necessary skills there, you aren't going to learn to do this overnight. There are tutorials all ofver the place on how to sprite, from beginner's basics to the advanced stuff. If the Nintendo Forums were still open, there would be even more. It takes a long time to learn to sprite properly, much less imitate the style used in Pokemon. First off, you're got to start simple, with "recolors". That's just changing the sprite to another set of colors. (And you have to do it pixel by pixel, or you aren't learning anything!) This teaches you about colors, shades, and what kind of colors to use in a Pokemon sprite. (And remember, you need to desaturate it at least a little, or it burns your retinas) Then, you can work on what is called a "mutation". Simply put, it is where you combine pieces of different sprites to make something new. This teaches you about the shape and form of Pokemon sprites. Next, try tracing something, and then giving it a much more limited set of colors. My avatar is an example of that. This is just another step along the way. After that, you're pretty much on your own. Youj can't really learn much more from others.

Move Based Evolution

I was wondering if anybody has a script that allows a pokemon to evolve after leveling up with a certain move? Alot of pokemon level up that way and I need a script for it.

I also have a map-based evolution script if anyone wants it. I don't remember where I found it but here it is.

return poke if $game_map.map_id == level

Then make your pokemon evolution like this.

LEAFEON,Custom1,95,
In this case Eevee would evolve into Leafeon if it leveled up at the Map ID 95.

Yeah but if anyone can help me with the move-based evolution I would be really grateful. Thanks.

Move-based evolution is already supported. The evolution type is called "HasMove". See the Notes for Pokemon Essentials for more information.

Hey I was wondering how come the fishing animation is so weird?
My character just turns backwards when hes fishing.
 
When I start up RPG maker, it tells me Failed to obtain a trial serial number from the nTitles server. Can anyone help me?
 
Your using Windows Vista I gather? Well then, just follow these instructions.

1. Go into your RPGXP folder which should be located in Computer - Local Disk (C:) - Program Files - Enterbrain - RPGXP.

2. Right click on the Application file, which should be RPGXP, and select properties.
3. Click on the Compatibility tab and tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" then choose Windows XP (Service Pack 2).

4. Tick "Run this program as an administrator". (I don't think you need to do step 3 but do it anyway just in case).

5. Click Apply and that should fix your problem.

I am learning ruby before I learn rgss so I have a basic understanding of rgss.

For all you people out there who know rgss and ruby please tell me why the following code does not work.

The problem is that you are apparently using C/C++, when you need to be using Ruby. I'll fix it when I get home. Also, if this stuff is part of Ruby, it wasn't included with RMXP or RMVX.

You need to use == for comparison, and strings must be in quotes; i.e.
Code:
if plantb == "yes"
Also, in the line tree.new, you haven't defined the tree variable. It seems to me that you're trying to initialize an instance of the tree class; this could also cause problems, as all class names should start with a capital letter.

You could try making Tree the superclass of OrangeTree, creating a name and plant method in the Tree class, then overriding name in OrangeTree. You don't need to worry about this now, as it might be a little advanced.
