I'm not sure what you mean. Could you explain in more detail what it is you want to know?

Not entirely sure what you mean, but if you use a pokémon somebody else captured, that pokémon will grow more quickly :) That's quite the nice buff when you're raising a team, and a good incentive for trading.

Some pokémon also evolve only via trade.
