Help with Avatars

I want to get a custom avatar. Since there are no avatars of the pokemon I actually want.
I googled a avatar I want but when I copy and paste the url (from the address bar of the picture clicked on in google) but it says Invalid File.

HELP PLEASE!

it's gotta be 130x130 pixels or 41KB, whichever is smaller, I'd assume the file types are Gif., Jpeg., and PNG.

Adding on to what WR said...

Upload the avatar onto your computer (Like drag the image onto your desktop) and then upload it that way, the URL option doesn't always work. x_o So, yeah, try option two. ;D

Yes, but it should just resize any image that is too big. Most forums will not take images with dynamic links. So if you can see the file extension at the END, it should be ok (.jpg; .png; .gif, etc). Uploading is always safer, though, in case the host site goes down.

Thanks I got it now. Now I just need to figure out how to put the trainer cards on....
