    Hi, I'm Stars! I've been lurking here on and off for years, playing romhacks and picking up general knowledge for weirdly specific Pokemon-related questions, and decided that it was finally time to join. (Not gonna lie, it was definitely to download the SuperGold97 patch, but it's been a long time since I've joined a new non-roleplay forum and I thought it might be fun too!)

    I'm 28 years old, go by any pronouns, and my favorite Pokemon is Ampharos!

    I've been playing Pokemon since I was about 8 years old and I have every main series game (except Diamond and Fire Red), I'm very much into the lore and roleplaying or writing stories about Pokemon. I'm extremely invested in Gen II because I only had Gold for a long time, so I have a huge soft spot for Gen II based romhacks. I also really love messing with glitches!

    Other than Pokemon, lately I've been really into My Little Pony, Steven Universe, and virtual pets like Tamagotchi and Digimon.

    My partner and I have a wild-type leopard gecko named Magnus, a black cat named Maggie, and a pink corn snake named Madoka.

    I love that ho-oh design on your avatar! They didnt make justice to the 3D model, don't you think? The old Ho-oh looks way more agressive and I love it! =(

    With a love of gen II (the definitive best gen), RP, and virtual lets, you are going to LOVE this forum I can already feel it, haha.

    And you have some exotic pets!! Omg you have to share pictures! Madoka sounds precious. (´∀｀)♡
     
    Thank you, Catto! It is the original Gold box design Ho-oh. It kills me because they always make him sit in the same pose in sprites too.. I appreciate that he's doing a sun pose but that's not all he can do!

    Yeah they're all wonderful animals! Is there a good place to upload pics of pets? I'd be happy to share them!
     
    A little late, I feel we've already met in Forum Games, but welcome, Stars! Seems like there's been a lot of ghosts joining and making accounts after lurking, and it's sweet to see you jump in!

    I love your investment in Gen II! As someone who's been really invested in Platinum herself, it's really cool to have that special appreciation for a certain game. Anything else interesting besides romhacks that would entail?

    I love the naming theme for your pets, what's it like having a snake, and is Madoka in reference to Madoka Magica?

    Hope to see you around more, especially if you come to play more in Forum Games!

    Eh, not all that much, except that I've got a huge obsession with Ampharos and have a good sized collection of plushes of him! I keep raising new ones in games too. I also have a giant soft spot for any Pokemon from Gen II specifically.

    Yup, you got me!! Magnus is named after Magnus Burnsides, a character from a real-play DnD campaign podcast I like called The Adventure Zone, and Madoka is named after Madoka Kaname, due to her pink color and red eyes. (Maggie was named before we got her, she's 9 years old and we got her about two years ago from a shelter.) Having a snake is wonderful, I've wanted one since I was little and this is the first one I've ever had! Her temperament is fantastic, she handles beautifully and is really good at eating, which can be tough for a snake. She is fed thawed-out frozen pinkie mice right now, once a week.

    That's still pretty neat! Good to have that thing that you really enjoy! I love the matching flair and avatar, as you can probably tell... I enjoy that sort of thing.~

    Cool to hear, I've only sorta recently learned people have had snakes as pets and it sounded intimidating at first, especially since I've never had a pet in my life. Sounds like she's a sweetheart though.
     
    Welcome Stars! A bit late for me to greet you since I was away for the weekend, but hey it looks like you've already acquainted yourself with the other regulars, which is awesome! Always glad to see lurkers make themselves known <3

    My oh my if you had joined just a little bit earlier you would've caught me sporting my old Ampharos based flair hehe. it's actually in my Top 6 of all time (2nd or 3rd overall best mon for me tbh, constantly shifting with Heracross). I never played the Gen 2 games all that much (i play HGSS way more than GSC lol), but my first top 3 Pokemon are from that gen :3

    I see that you're into romhacks as well? Which one's your favorite? (I'm gonna go ahead and guess that's it's a Gen 2 based one hueheu)

    And those animals you own sound mad dope, like Fairy said I would love to see some pics of them as well. I believe you can post them right here if you want! Just make sure that if they're too big, you insert them into a

    Thank you! Me too!! I'm all about the pastel punk cotton candy aesthetic lately, everything is pale pink, bright blue, seafoam green, etc!

    She is! I live for my pets, animals are my favorite thing next to Pokemon! I've always had cats but living with my partner that also likes animals has given me the opportunity to branch out into non-cat animals like I've never been able to before and, let me tell you, I am LIVING for it.
