Hello, I Have been playing Pokémon for years and only missing out on 2 releases (SS&HG, and Black and White 2). I love talking to people about Pokémon they like and seeing Pokémon that I've never given a second glance getting some love. I normally hyper focus things for a few months and then drop it for a while only to start the cycle up later on. I just finished the DLC's for Scarlet and I'm loving the new regions and lore. Especially Ogerpon!! I love watching people play competitively in both VGC and TCG. I am looking at finally trying to start getting a team together and learning how to play competitive myself.

Hello there and welcome to the PC! Cool to have ya! :p

Do you have a favorite Pokemon game?

Good luck on getting a team together!

I would have to say Ruby was my favorite game as that was the first game that I was old enough to really understand what I needed to do and how it worked. My first team was awful as I use my starter Swampert for everything. I learned after losing to the elite 4 I couldn't just use Swampert and Groudon for everything.

I don't know about that, Swampert's a pretty versatile Pokemon. :p But it's more fun to run with a full team in my opinion anyway lol.
Did you ever try out the remake of Ruby?

I did with my brothers. We treated it as us going out on our journey together so we chose different starters. I let them go first which left me with Treeko (meh) I really enjoyed playing it that way as we battled each other after every gym to see how everyone was progressing. my team ended up being Sceptile, Camerupt, Walrein, Manetric, Salamance, and Mega Sableye.

Hello Madness, and welcome to the forums!
I certainly recommend trying Black 2 / White 2, one of the best of the official games in my opinion! The many means to train Pokémon, the tens of Rare Candies to find, the billions of PokéDollars worth sunken treasures, the galleria to devote to Pokémon happiness, the starters,...

I for one have Charizard as number one top favourite since Red! Then I have a fondness for Dragon type Pokémon and Fire type moves. ^^
I played Ruby too, and picked Swampert's line too. With Surf, Earthquake, Strength and Ice Beam, from a certain level, my Swampert just plowed through every opponent, League included (in the max levels, it was even like, Surf! KO, next! Strength! KO, next!)
    It became a one-Pokémon-team! XD

Have you tried some fan games ?
I am a busy Gardevoir with the job I have, but I am always up to chat with other Pokémon fans!

I want to play black 2 and just got an emulator for start it. and I could never stand Charizard but thats mainly for the popularity. I was tired of constantly hearing about only him. I was always a Blastoise main there though.
My Swampert moveset wasn't originally good though. I had water gun, Mud shot, surf, and muddy water. I loved him though since he could tank everything and just out damage everyone.
I havent tried any fan games, mainly to lack of a pc (im using my work computer and phone for this site). I did want to try this Gym of mine though as it looks like a lot of fun

Blastoise is great too! A quite tanky Pokémon! ^^

Yeah, I loved the video and origins where it was red versus blue and Charizard punches Blastoise in the face and he just looks right at him like" is that all you got"
Hehe, this reminds me of a Red / Blue Pokémon battle I had on Game-boy with a friend when I was younger. My Charizard kept using Dig, and went close of KOing its foe, while their Blastoise soaked the hits well while launching Hydrocannons one after another and missing, until one did hit, and my Charizard who had around 280 HP left out of 333... got back up with 1 HP! XD
Would it have won with one last Dig ? Or would it have met its demise ? We sadly never got to know, for the battle bugged after that. But I will never forget my friend, the other friends who were watching over our shoulders, and my own, excited, joint scream when we saw my Charizard still stood! ^^

See to me that is what pokémon is all about. The excitement that you get when your pokémon withstands a move that you didn't think it was, or you get that clutch critical hit to one shot the opponent. Or you're down to your last pokeball? Trying to catch that legendary for it to finally stay in the ball.

The few times I fight my friends or my brothers. It's always been double battles. I just feel like there's a lot more versatility in it

Hehe, just like in Ruby, when I had depleted my Ultraballs on Regice, and it then decided to stay in the single Luxeball I had in my inventory! Did you have some funny moments too ?

mine would probably be me trying to survive Groudon while catching him. Bc i only used my starter for fights, everyone else was underleveled for the fight so he was sweeping through my team. I hadn't been prepared so I didnt have a lot of balls going into it bc i didnt know i was going to be going to catch him yet. So I'm down to my last pokemon and all I had left was a basic pokeball. And I was so lucky that I was able to catch him before my linoone went down.
