Hi guys, Nathan here, an 18 year old new to the forums but not new to the Pokemon scene; I've been an avid fan since Yellow came out which was my first game and one I became extremely addicted to.
I know competitive mechanics like EV's, IV's and natures, but I don't regard myself as a completely competitive player. For example, my current team is made up of favourites (though favourites that are viable) and whilst for the most part OU mons, lower OU's as opposed to top of the tier.
I was also an avid chainer back in Diamond days, netting some of my favourite Pokemon as legit shinies including Eevee, Porygon and Beldum (who are a pain to catch -_-), but I haven't chained in so long that I'd probably really struggle now. That, and I'm impatient.
I'm here really to make new friends and have some less serious but still competitive battles; I was on Smogon for a while but without forcing my opinion on you all I found it to be a bit snobby and far too serious, especially when Pokemon is at the end of the day, a game. I like the fact there's a much friendlier tone here, as I've seen through lurking.
Anyway, thank you for having me and I hope to catch you all (get it?) around.
