    So I'm gonna start off this thread with a simple statement. I loved gba pokemon games. They were literally my life not so long ago. And recently, I started getting into Emulators and thought that it was really neat. And from there I made my way to the rom hacking world which intrigues me quite a bit! I'm currently messing around with scripting and map editing, and I have a friend whose working on sprites. Any tips you all can give us, or any kind of help would be much appreciated. I look forward to being part of this community.

    Hey there! Mmm, all your hacking needs are all covered over at the Emulation & ROM Hacking board. It's a pretty popular board that's filled with all sorts of things hacking related; I'm sorry that I can't personally give you some tips, because.. I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to ROM Hacking, but, I can show you some neat places around there where you can learn a bunch of things!

    For instance, you can try out some Tutorials that can show you various things, from mapping, to scripting, tiling, etc. You can also take a look at some of the ROM Hacking Resources there too! Since a lot of people are ROM Hackers themselves, they from time to time, share all the tools ans maybe sprites they use for their hacking purposes! There are loads of other things you can check out in the board, so, I hope that this helps you. If you need further assistance, you can contact one of the moderators over at that board. c:

    Anywho, welcome to the forum, and it's really nice to meet you tonight! Again, feel free to let the staff members, or anyone else in the community know if you need anything, and I hope to see you again! Good luck on your ROM Hacking! <3

    Welcome to the forum, Feeg! Yay new peeps and yay for having a great team to help you along in your ROM hacking journey. I used to want to make my own hack way back when but that never really happened, plus I prefer playing them more than creating them. So I'll be looking forward to everything you've to show us!

    Loved the GBA Pokemon games myself - they were really addicting and I must have spent at least 300 hours in Sapphire and about 200 in LeafGreen. The VS Seeker made me want to keep replaying and training every Pokemon I caught so that sucked up quite a lot of time. :'o

    Like Aura said, there is plenty you can do here as far as hacks go and there are tons of tools to help you along. You'll do great so be sure to stick around and don't hesitate to message me if you're looking for more people to chat with. Enjoy your time! :)

    Well well well! Look whose here! :) Another hacker in the making. XD
    I'm a hacker too, you know, and i reaaally want to make my own hack, someday. But i cant just right now because of the school works, stuffs like that.:( So you can ask me if you want :)

    Aura pretty sums it all up. So, what can i say, go hack them all buddy! {XD}
    Good luck!

    Oh, if you have any questions, just notify the Stuff or the Moderators.

    See ya around!

    Welcome to tPC, which happens to be one of the largest and oldest ROM hacking resources on the net.

    So, you're just getting into hacking the games? I remember when I was at your stage, those were the days. ;P Nowadays though I'm writing tools and working on a solo hack project that as of the moment spans two years. XD

    One thing I do advise though, is to find your fit with how you work. By this I mean things like whether you function well in a ROM hacking team, and how you organize your project data (with notes and whatnot). It is vital that you're comfortable with your stance on these two things, else you're efforts will more than likely be fruitless. Personally, I have a structured system for my ROM hacking projects, and I always work alone, but you may be different, so you gotta see what works for you. :)

    If you have any questions regarding ROM hacking, I'd absolutely love to help you, okay? If you have any problems with the community itself (suggestions, glitches, etc), you may want to either post a thread in Community Questions and Feedback, or send a private message to a staff member (those in bold usernames). Alright? Good. ;D
