Hello!

I'm a newbie here (obviously ;)) and I wanted to just say hi, and to let you all know that I'm here. I guess I'll say a bit about myself so you can get to know me better.

I absolutely love Pokemon, and I started when I was really little. I used to watch the show, and I still have my DVDs and VHS tapes of a few episodes. I think I've seen the first episode, like, ten million times, because that's one of the ones I have for DVD.
I love to write and to draw. I also love music,whether it's playing it or listening to it. Some of my favorite bands are Evanescence, Flyleaf, 3 Doors Down, Black Veil Brides, Eyes Set to Kill, Skillet, Three Days Grace, Within Temptation, Drew Tabor, Disturbed, The Pretty Reckless, Paramore, Hierosonic, Saliva, Daughtry, Breaking Benjamin, Panic! At the Disco, The Black Keys, 30 Seconds to Mars, We Are The Fallen (yes, the EV ripoffs), Thousand Foot Krutch, Fall Out Boy, Fireflight, NeverShoutNever, Bruno Mars, aaanddd... I think that's it. XD I probably listed all of them (I have a list of them on my wall), but oh well. As you can tell, I'm a music freak. <3

Okay, so, I love to play ROM hacks (my favorites are Liquid Crystal and Snakewood, even though they're the only ones I've ever played), and I would absolutely love to make one of my own. Of course, I've never scripted before, I think I've tried to make a map once but I think I gave up, um... yeah.

I would love to learn, and plan on researching through the Emulation section to learn a bit, but if I could find videos on how to do it and such, that would be more than amazing. I already know exactly what I'd want to make one out of; it'd be kind of like a mix of Pokemon and Zelda. Okay, not really, but... Do you see my point here? I have a super good idea, but nowhere to start, since I haven't taken a peek at the research and tutorial sections yet.

Hmm, anything else.... I don't think so. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, and thanks for wasting your time taking the time to read up about myself.

Hey Sammielily2! Welcome to the PC! I like Bruno Mars too! Preety cool. Anyway, you interested in rom hacking huh? Should check out our game design section! You will be able to play lots of other peoples fan based games as well as learn the basics! Most of them use RPG maker XP with the pokemon starter kit! You should try it! It costs a little, $30 i think, but from what i hear its worth it! Anyway welcome!

You seem to have a lot of taste in music, a lot of those bands are great.

You like Pokemon and Legend of Zelda? They are such great franchises.

^I just came here to comment on your AMAZING GOOD TASTE OF MUSIC YOU HAVE THERE. I can say I like.... 80% of the artists you mentioned in that paragraph.

And yes, music freaks are totally welcome! And welcome to PC. :3 Culture & Media would be a perfect match for you, since you adore music, and you can share your music interests with the many Pokemon fans we have here. PC is a diverse community, soooo we talk more than just Pokemon.

My good buddy HackDeoxys linked you to some of the Emulation section's frequently visited links, where you can go ahead and learn how to make a hack for yourself! The tutorials, tools, as well as the advice are provided by our very own members. :D Take your time looking for the things you need, as the section is quite large and active.

You haven't wasted my time, though...so don't worry. Have fun and good luck on your hack! PM me if you need any help with the forums or have aaaany questions. :3

that is a pretty long welcoming post. anyway, I am really glad to have a fellow Bruno Mars fan in the community? What's your favorite song of his? Mine is Talking to the Moon, Who Is, Just the Way you Are, and Her World Goes on. :)

Yes, I've started to play Light Crystal and Snakewood already, and I'm addicted to both. To an extent.
I've also started to look at video scripting tutorials (I believe that it was linked in the stickied post in Tutorials) so I've already started to learn a bit of scripting.
