    You think there will be cloning in the new games just like they did in gold/silver and crystal? You know, when you restart your game with the pc while saving. (clone pokemon/items) Will this be a glitch in the game still or did Nintendo fix that?
     
    What do you mean fix it??? It may be a remake, but the game engine is entirely different as is the code. Material details aside, it is not the same game.
     
    I doubt that will ever happen. It's a remake but they're not bringing everything back like the cloning glitch because that's considered as and related to cheating.Of course the producers have fixed it,if they haven't then they would have released a game with a popular glitch that can be used many times. Also,Greene is very correct,it may be a remake but the coding is different and how they made it is as well.
     
    I was going to make a similar thread.

    Does anybody know how to do this? Hold R While Reposition Pokemon... I don't really get this, how do you reposition Pokemon?
    By the way this is a clone cheat.
     
    Guys, it runs off the Platinum engine, doesn't it? So it should only contain any glitches that Platinum had, and even then, any should be fixed. It wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place. They'd probably add guns before intentionally adding the option to clone. =/

    That's a AR cheat, not a glitch. Regardless, it means go in the box, hold R, move your pokemon to another spot, and it should stay in both spots. I'm guessing that's right.

    This cheat is an action replay cheat it isnt an actual cloning cheat but to do it you hold R while moving your pokemon in your team. you clone the pokemon you select to switch so the pokemon that is also being switched is lost for a clone of the first pokemon.
     
    I think it would be really fun if they kept the duplicating glitch in, and transferred it to the 4th gen PC Box engine, just for good ol' times and insane fun. It was cool duplicating my Pokemon, I could have 3 Dragonites (yes, I was noob then) with 3 different movesets, without having to train them =D.
     
    So where do I switch the pokemon? From my party or in the box? And do I use move and move that pokemon from box 1 to box 2?
     
    Oh man. I thought this thread was telling us that you have found the cloning glitch in HGSS. That would have been awesome. I remember doing that long ago. That's how I had several Feraligatrs and several Dragonites. (I bred Feraligatr and Dragonite in Silver version, but the egg never hatched. :( My brother did a new game over it. >>)

    If you find the cloning glitch let us know.
     
    To answer - it will not have the cloning glitch in GSC, no. Maybe it may have the GTS cloning glitch in Diamon/Pearl, but I believe they fixed that in Platinum, meaning it shouldn't exist here either. But certainly not the GSC one - boxes work the same as they did since RSE and all - there is no saving feature when you change boxes so it's just not possible.

    Don't see much point discussing the lack of a cloning glitch... so, closing.
