4th Gen HG/SS Glitch Thread

What exactly is the "Acid Rain" bug?
It's a bug in Platinum and HG/SS,if you use Pursuit on a Pokemon switching out where there is a weather condition in play, all weather starts. If you have Castform or Cherrim out, they keep transforming and lock up the game.

That sucks for me, Castform is my favourite pokemon :O

It's the bug described above that happens when you KO a Pokemon with Pursuit during a weather condition. In Platinum version, this made all of the weather conditions (rain, hail, sandstorm, sunlight) happen at one time. According to the list above, however, it is even worse in HG/SS. How they managed to write an attack function so badly that the function alters variables it shouldn't even have access to is beyond me.

An acid rain bug huh? So that's why the Statue of Liberty is green....... Those pesky statue ruining Pokemon....

hope the english one will fix all these.....
can anyone post a video of acid rain?

How could it have gotten worse in HG/SS? As I understand, it was bad enough already in Platinum.

I think it is twice as long now, or something like that. And it gets into worse values now, too.

Yes, the target must be KO'd with pursuit for the bug to happen. As for why I think it's worse, the list above says that the entire battle gets glitched, while all that happens in Platinum is a simultaneous occurrence of all weather conditions.

It's not exactly like that in Platinum. People say that, but that's just part of it. Each weather condition individually (including rain/sun/etc.) damages all Pokemon in play. But they will either say their ability hurt them (e.g. 'Charmander is hurt by its Blaze!') or that Sandstorm did.

OK, got a nice video of the acid rain doing its damage in Plat (you'll need an account though.)

Yet to find one of HGSS, and I sure ain't testing it out myself...
But guess is, it remains unchanged from Pt.
