HG/SS Help Thread

Well If your pokemon is lv 43 and has over 400 SpDef like mine...then you know its a hacked pokemon haha

Go to the cave in Cianwood that takes you to the Safari Zone. When you get to the ladder in the next cave, go down the ladder, and surf to the waterfall nearest you. Go up the waterfall and train in that small patch of grass. Great training spot.

I beat gym leader Clair a while ago, but only just found out you are supposed to get a Dratini from an elder in the Dragon's Den. I never got it before, can I still get it? I went back to the Dragon's Den and saw no one :(

Keep an empty slot in your party, go to Clair in her gym and receive a TM, then go to Dragon's Den and receive a free Dratini! :P

You sure you went inside the shrine there? The old guy in the back should be there.

You beat Claire, right? Once you beat her, you need to go to the shrine and answer the questions right. Bring a Surf + Whirlpool Pokemon.
 
can anyone give me a accurate discription of the "Judge" in the battle Tower who judges IVs?

it's just i want to know all the different phrases he tells you. I got a larvitar (hatched) and he said its IVs are Superior and that the attack is highest and it couldn't possibly be better.

Yes. We've done the Battle Frontier many times when we're both using Platinum, at the same location with the same Wi-Fi network, and the Battle Frontier had been slow, but not nearly as slow as when he was using HG and I was using Platinum.
 
Can anyone tell where a good place to train is? I have all badges and beat ash but i need somewhere good to train...E4 seems to slow so if theirs any place else please tell. Thanks

Okay.... Problem is... I want to evolve eevee into an umbreon But how am I supposed to if its happy and ready to evolve? Right now it is at lv 27 and im training it so I can take on the elite four's will... but It needs to evolve... Everytime I talk to it its happy it even shows an heart icon and hugs meh :D But it wont evolve :\
How do I know its happy??!!?!
 
There's someone somewhere who measures happiness.

...OH, on the route east of New Bark. The house outside Tohjo Falls (kanto side) has an old grandma that checks it, I think.

If you give it a Soothe Bell, don't let it die, and give it haircuts, it should be evolved by level 40 :]
