hello, can you please explain to me why are EVs important? i know that they are gained by experience, but why does it matter?
 
Does anyone know why Whitney's Miltank was able to use stomp on my Gastly? I thought stomp was a normal type... :shocked: ...

One of Miltank's abilities is Scrappy, which has the effect of allowing Normal-type attacks to hit Ghost-type foes.
 
Stomp is indeed a Normal type move, but Miltank is can have the "Scrappy" ability. This ability allows the Miltank to hit Ghost Pokemon with Normal attacks.

I went to the mt moon last night and I didn't see any clefaries. I want catch me one. So I can hatch it. Also how do I hatch a mr mine jr. I know I need an item, but I forgot what kind. Please let me know. Thanks.

You can verse your rival on Mondays? right before you go into door to elite four, um you can beat the elite four a couples time (I highly don't reccomend that though) or you just verse pokemon the wild or trainers. I don't that much after those four things. You can extremespeed dratini from clairs granfather if you say the right answers... xD

the only way initiate the clefairy event at mt. moon, you have to be at mt. moon square anytime between monday night at 8 PM and tuesday 4 AM. even though all the clefairy runs away when one of the four sees you, but you can get a moon stone by breaking the rock that the clefairy is dancing around. the only places where you can catch a clefairy is mt. moon (in the cave where they will be lvl 8 and have an 8% spawn rate) and the safari zone.

as for the mr. mime jr., the only way ti get him is by breeding a mr. mime while holding an odd incense, this will allow you to get a mime jr., when it hatches from the egg

You can battle your Rival on Mondays and Wednesdays. Also, if you have the patience to wait for a chansey swarm, catch a bunch of Chansey hoping for a lucky egg. That will boost the Exp you get equal to if it was a traded pokemon. So traded Pokemon holding lucky eggs will get alot of exp.

I'm tyring to get an egg of a mr mine. What kind of item is it?

i'm trying to soft reset a chikorita on my Heartgold and I would like to know if you can see that the pokemon is shiny in the pokeball before you choose it, also where should i save it so the soft reset works.

Yup, u can see it before when prof shows you the 3 pokeballs. Save just before u go and talk to him.

Indeed. Just as long as you saved before you chose the Pokemon, you'll be fine.

Union Room is where players who can connect meet with one another. You can do a variety of interactions with one another, like trade, battle, mix records, and even just talk to one another. This page has the basics of what the Union Room is and what can happen in one.
 
I have level 51 houndoom and I'm planning on using it against the mewtwo. But I'm having a difficult time training him. Which gym leader should I battle? Houndoom is half dark and half fire. Please help me. Thanks
