    I became acquainted with Pokemon back in 1998 with the TV series coming onto WB Kids and when Pokemon Blue was released to the Nintendo Gameboy. My interest died down around 2001, but it has picked up again in the last year. One of my co-workers gave me her copy of Pokemon White 2 and I became addicted to playing again. I recently got Alpha Sapphire and have pre-ordered my copy of Pokemon Moon.

    I'm surprised no one's welcomed you yet, we're normally quite quick to it - but in any case, welcome to PokéCommunity! I was also pretty surprised about the new games being as fun as they were; I lost interest for a few years as well, though not as long as you, and just got back in a few months ago.

    Have you checked out the Sun and Moon section yet? There's a lot of excited speculation going on there, and if you're excited for the release I'd go have a look and participate.

    Hey there Rachelle! Welcome to PC. I'm also a long time fan who has fallen in and out of interest with Pokemon - I guess it just happens. White 2/Black 2 happen to be one of my favorite games in the series. We have tons of sections that may interest you such as: Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Sun & Moon, Fifth Generation, and last but not least, First Generation. First generation was re-released for the 3DS on the eShop. If you enjoyed it back then, I do recommend picking it up when you can!

    Welcome to the forums Rachelle! I hope you'll keep interest up long enough to become an invested member of our community, because it's great fun! Have you played the wii U games as well?
     
    Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I will probably check out the Sun & Moon Forums to see the speculations. There are many things I like about Alpha Sapphire that I wouldn't want changed for Sun & Moon. I haven't played the Wii U games, but I have been watching Youtube review videos on Pokken Tournament.

    Hey man, I feel you. I was in the same boat too about 2 1/2 years ago with getting back into pokemon.
    I also started around the same time as you.
    Hope we can pokechat sometime.
