    Hi, I'm Josh I'm a big fan of pokemon like most of us. My favorite ges are gen 3 hoenn it's the gen I played the most. But I enjoy most of the other games too. I stopped playing more when they introduced mega evolution and dynamaxing.

    Gen 3 is definitely one of my favorites but for me Gen 2 was the best, with SoulSilver being my favorite Pokemon game. You can check out discussion about previous Gens 1-7 [here] if you're interested.

    Welcome Josh! Gen 3 was great indeed, but my heart personally belongs to the two generations that go after it heh. I grew up in the DS era so it was inevitable :3 Mega evos were a pretty cool concept that I wish they continued into the later gens, while Dynamaxing I just find meh :p You planning on playing the newest games though? Like BDSP and the upcoming Legends: Arceus?
     
    Hey Josh! Welcome to the community! I used to completely agree with you, that Mega evolution and Dynamaxing is just gimmicky and kinda dumb, but they've sorta grown on me! It's nice to see some Pokémon get a little extra attention.

    Either way, I definitely recommend you give it a try!
     
    Awww you missed out on the gen 3 remakes then =(
    ORAS was great ^.^
    Especially soaring in the sky and riding Rayquaza into space to fight Deoxys.

    Original gen 3 RSE was good too though ^.^
