    Hi everyone.
    I'm Lozz, and I'll be honest, I've never actually joined a forum before. I've been playing Pokemon since I was a kid, I started out with Pokemon Silver; and these days I own FireRed, Platinum, HeartGold and White. I also watch the eps every now and again, but not regularly, as university etc takes up a lot of my time.

    I have 0 experience when it comes to ROMs and stuff... I still can't even figure out how to connect my DS to the internet. So I'm pretty much in awe of all you who are way more switched on about that than I am. I'm hoping to learn a bit more about aspects of Pokemon, as well as figure out how to use my DS properly! So if anyone wants to help me figure that one out, you are most welcome.

    So, you're new to forums, eh? You'll want to give these a quick read through first just so you can avoid getting on people's nerves, although people here are really quite nice so there shouldn't be too much problems. If you've got any questions about those feel free to VM/PM either me or a staff member. Just click on their username and you'll see "Send a private message to __" That much is rather simple :D

    That video explains how to connect your DS to the internet (You may want to mute it though xD). If you've still got problems, like if the video's not very clear (I didn't actually watch it, I just skimmed through it and it seemed alright) then feel free to PM me and I'll try and help you out a bit more. Roms however aren't something you'll want to discuss on this forum, they really only allow the discussion of rom patches and modifying roms. When it comes to emulation and stuff you're on your own.

    Well just post around and have fun! You should get used to using forums in no time at all!
     
    Welcome aboard, Lozz! This is my first Pokemon forum to be honest, but I've been into other Pokemon, but it's my first time joining such an active and a wonderful community like PC! Almost everyone of us here became a huge Pokemon fan ever since we were a kid, the first game that I played was R/B/Y but can't really remember any good memories from it besides G/S/C, which in my opinion I had the best Pokemon gaming experience of my life. The current games is fine and all, but yeah, nothing could beat the original! ..

    I've also been following the anime myself ever since I started playing Pokemon, I watch every single episode of the series, but I haven't been really in touch with the latest B/W episodes since I have a very tight schedule like you! .. Charliezard already gave you an info about DS & stuff, so I'm going to give you a bit of introduction about ROM Hacking!

    PC is the biggest English ROM-Hacking forum in the web right now, majority of the biggest and most famous hacks were made in this very board, like Shiny Gold if you have ever heard of it, I doubt you haven't since it's so famous! If you want to learn about the basics, then the tutorials in the Emulation section is worth reading, as well as the tools and essentials needed for you to start and make your own hack! You could also seek help from our fellow hackers! You could ask me sometimes too since I'm an amateur hacker as well! tehe;

    I just think you should know that there is a good chance you are my soulmate. I also have 0 experience in ROMs and stuff and I have no idea how to get my DS or 3DS to connect to the internet lmao. I feel like such a Pokemon noob sometimes, but I'm glad somebody else can share in my pain. XD

    Welcome to the forums, huh? PC isn't exactly my first forum, but there's a lot of experience for me to gain from this forum, so I think I know how you feel when it comes to new forums. XD I think I was a newcomer back then, a year before! XD

    It's been a long time since the release of the second generation games, and boy, was it fun! XD I think you might want to check out the forum sections dedicated to the Pokémon games, some for specific games... I think you might want to share your experiences or just plain have fun, huh?

    I remember I was once a noob here back in March when I joined.

    You play Platinum? I do too, but my main focus is on Black.

    We might cross paths again sometime.
