I happened to come across a Hippopotas that knew water pulse at a Colosseum, and it seemed strange.

Can this happen, is it some egg move? Or was it just weird O.O

Yep, Just another one of Nintendo's Flukes

Yep like Diglett learning Aerial Ace (I think it does...) XD
They really do make quite a few mistakes with pokemon learning moves.
Good find by the way, I didn't notice XD

I don't know if it was fluke. Hippos are water/land creatures, so they might have done it to stick to it's animal roots.

If you notice from the anime, even touching water took it out of commission for a few.

Then again, one should never mix the anime and games together.

    There's my two cents -_-

Its not weird. It can learn it by the TM and plus its a hippo, so what do you expected. lol

Its not just a hippo, its also a Pokemon ;P

But again, the anime and games have so many conflicting things that it makes you wonder if the Producers of the show even talk to the Programmers of the games.

    -_-;

    Really? Weird.

It's like Dugtrio not being able to learn Sandstorm in generation three. D:

Or Bronzong being able to learn Charge Beam, but not Thunderbolt...and the list goes on.

-lawl at Zigzagoon with Ice Beam-

Or like Bidoof learning Thunder (I think).

    I don't know if it's a fluke, but it's weird.

I couldnt stop laughing when I heard this. Another bust from Nintendo.

Yeah, it makes sense that they should give it some
Water type moves. I personally thought they should've made it a Water and Ground type.
