Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan?

Which pokemon do you think is better, Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan?

I like hitmonchan better, even though it wears a skirt. XD
I didn't add Hitmontop because its more like both....

Hitmonlee.

Hitmonchan lacks Hitmonlee's offensive strength, and defensively it's outclassed by Hitmontop. Before Hitmontop days, all Hitmonchan had were Elemental Punches, which didn't do anything because it's Special stat is truly awful. Best STAB was submission, which has 80% Acc. and recoil. Hitmonlee, in contrast, had a decent STAB in Hi Jump Kick, which isn't perfect, but way better than Submission.

I like Hitmonchan more. Mostly because it doesn't look as weird as Hitmonlee. It actually has a head and stuff, and not just eyes on it's body. XD (I suppose I care more about their looks than their stats, but meh.)

I like Hitmonlee too, because it's the kicking one, but Hitmonchan wins for me. :P

You really can't go wrong with either of them, but I'd have to say hitmonlee. Also have you guys ever heard hitmonchan's cry in stadium? He sounds like a dieing rooster or something.

Hitmonlee for me. He has higher power and that outweighs the type coverage of elemental punches IMO.

Most definitely Hitmonlee. I'm more of a RBY kind of guy and here, his movepool is so much better.

Though, I gotta say, Hitmonchan has improved a LOT in DPPt. Iron Fist + Choice Band + Physical Elemental Punches = Win.

When talking about first generation, don't forget to mention that a glitch caused the damage from jump kick and hi jump kick to equal a staggering 1 point.

Hitmonlee.
He has superior speed and attack, which can make him a potential physical sweeper if he has enough speed. He also has some other neat tricks like sucker punch, STAB superpower, and blaze kick to give him more strength.
And apparently, the pokemon that kicks can have bullet punch as a move.

If I had to choose by design, my vote would go to Hitmonchan. However, this vote isn't based upon looks and because Hitmonlee has more of a wide range in competitive play with its high attack status and speed it can do a lot of damage. It can also learn some hefty moves that come in quite use when stuck in a situation. I've come across a Scarfed Hitmonlee over Wi-Fi before and it did a lot of work to my team and since then I haven't looked at it the same as I did once before.

If Hitmontop was here though, my vote would have gone to him as he is my favorite of the three. ;-;
