5th Gen Hiyappu, Baoppu & Yanappu Discussion (new water/fire type monkey)

When gear was Confirmed on Coro Coro they said it had the abilities Plus and Minus. You'd have to have a Plusel, Minun or two Gears with opposite abilities to use the abilities on the Pokemon. Just gives you other options really.

even so i still dont like gear. such a stupid pokemon.
 
Gear = fail version of Magnetmite.

I wonder what gears evo will be.... Something similar to magnezone, Magetone, or Brongzong?.

I do like Gear better than Bronzor though.

I can't help but think of RAINBOW MONKEYS from Kids Next Door when it comes to these. RAINBOW MONKEYS, RAINBOW MONKEYS... RED & YELLOW, GREEN & BLUE! RAINBOW MONKEYS, RAINBOW MONKEYS I LOVE YOU!!!
 
I still think that the Water and Fire monkey are fake :/ It just seems like a bit of a rip off to have three almost identical pokemon who differ only in type, colour and very minimal changes.
 
They've done it before with Plusle and Minun... and their types weren't even different, so I see no reason to doubt the possibility of three near-identical Pokemon.

But what's suspect is that Plusle and Minun were always a Duo and I'm pretty sure they were 'discovered' together, whilst we have known of the Grass monkey for ages...

It could just be a Fan invention taking advantage of the info we know about Dento's Gym :/

Actually, Plusle and Minun were not revealed at all in the means that the three monkeys are. They were revealed when the PokeDex for Hoenn was. Using "They were revealed together" as an excuse why the Fire/Water monkeys could be fake is like using that as a reason why Gallade and Togekiss are a duo because "they were revealed together" when the PokeDex was for Sinnoh.

Since they're the new Plusle/Minun assuming they're real, they won't have evolutions.

wow some of those Advance gen pokemon type guesses were off...actually I think Serebii and the other sites have gotten better at getting info on the new gens...
 
tbh, I think they're real because of;

A scan of the back of Black and White's box art has emerged revealing a clearer image of the monkey screenshot from earlier today - we can now confirm Hiyappu is actually the blue monkey, not Baoppu.

A scan of the box art, as opposed to...I don't know. Then again, we could be fooled, but personally, I think they're real, Serebii/PokeBeach hasn't said there's a chance they're fake, unlike the starter evolutions, so... pretty much this thread title is staying the same unless they're proven fake.
 
Everyone keeps saying there is a picture of them. Then when they put up the picture, all I see is Yanappu versus three Pokemon in a triple battle. I assume the two other names are the two of the Fire and Water monkeys, but how do they know which is which without an actual picture? @__@

In a triple battle and in a double battle the names of the pokemon on both sides are in a specific order. We can compare the order of the names and where the monkeys are by looking at previous triple battle clips and images.

Pokejunglers were the first ones to find that the blue monkey is Hiyappu.

It looked like a rotation battle. The blue Monkey is under the name info. I missed it my first try but after someone pointed out where it was I found it.
