I never said that anyone confirmed that Hoenn is going to replace Kanto. O.o
Forgive me then, you made it sound like all other additions were acceptable because they were just additions, but Hoenn would replace Kanto if added.

It could easily be fan made...i could do it myself since theyve shown the map of jhoto..... you know what im gonna try it! stay tuned and ill reply with it

I don't think it's real...
Someone made it and use the Groundon/Kyogre/Rayquaza in game event to support their hoax...
Currently there are no needs for R/S/E remakes...

But Kanto is confirmed already.... =0="
So it means that this Hoenn Map is fake at all.

Well seeing as some guy from deviantart was able to make a fake Kanto map, I'm pretty sure this map is fake aswell. The source also came from a youtuber who has some false information about HG/SS.

If anything they'll just make some random islands and put Honnen pokemon there, just like they did with Johto pokemon in FR/LG.

No it's not, it's just been hinted at officially. It's pretty obvious that it'll be in, though.
And you missed the point of my post, what I said was that I thought another person was saying Hoenn would replace Kanto, please read messages properly.

Honestly, I don't find this information credible at all. Just the other day this same guy uploaded a video which had an obviously photoshopped image of a battle against Cynthia.

I'm not saying that this isn't real, but I honestly don't think we should speculate until we hear anything from a more credible source.

Actually, it's there.
In one of the screenshots, a more completed map of Johto [completed, as in visited, - ergo, it implies that the game has been beaten] shows the route that extends to Mt. Silver, and subsequently to Kanto.
Furthermore, in the artwork of the official map, it was shown that the Railway system extends from Goldenrod City to the mountains, and beyond. :p

Anyway, yeah, I'm gonna have to say this is most likely fake. :(

Can someone please tell me why people are so against a longer game with more stuff to do? And can someone please explain to me why Hoenn was such a terrible region?

It's already been proven time and time again that these aren't PURE remakes--they're keeping ALL the same features, but adding in loads more stuff to keep players entertained. I've never seen so many people angered over the possibility (however real this map is) of a bigger, longer, and more entertaining game. You'll still get the same "nostalgic" feel from HG and SS. It's not like Hoenn would be completely removing everything you ever loved about the second generation. And obviously if it was included, it wouldn't replace Kanto. Isn't Kanto already comfirmed by the fact that, hmm... the Magnet Train is visible on the drawn-out map, routes in Johto lead to Kanto, Indigo Plateau is Johto's Pokemon League and is in Kanto, and these are enhanced remakes, therefore, they wouldn't exclude it?

And once again, please, someone give me reasons why Hoenn was an unholy abomination, the worst thing to ever happen to the Pokemon series, and unworthy of anyone's praise? If anything, Hoenn was one of the best regions. It was exotic, it looked nice, and had tons and tons of differing locations. Sinnoh was bland as hell other than the snow, which was on very little of the actual map. Johto was bland as well (something they're fixing in HG and SS, thankfully), and Kanto was too. Yes, Kanto is the classic region, and is my favorite, but how can you argue that Hoenn didn't at least look the best?

-Kanto confirmations-
Ah, I haven't been keeping up with news much. All right.

Oh my god, finally someone who shares my opinion. I think I love you~ <3

I think I can answer it. Alot of people dont like Hoenn as much because it didnt really stick out with awesome pokemon and features. The only thing I really liked about it was the contests and they really uped that in D/P/P.
And the thing about remakes, They cant just rerealease the same exact game. It'll have the same plot but with tons of new features that will keep all of the players happy.
I personally dont hate Hoenn but its not at the top of my list for favorite regions. It was just boring.

Orange Islands are from the anime and therefore not part of game canon. Don't count on it ever being in the games. Sevii Islands sound much more reasonable though.
orange islands are possible. They can do what ever they want with their own games. What the fanbase wants means very little. If they want something that was made for the anime to the games they well put it in. It's only a matter of new lines of code and new art work, same process as coming up with any other region. What you call cannon means nothing to devolopers. They made Bite a dark type move and Megnamite a dual Electrite and steel pokemon after generation 1. They can change anything they wan't to change.

Hoenn was not a bad place in istself. You got to interact with the envroment more. The only real downfall was the lack of pokemon from past games and lack of going to past regions. When it come to pokemon more to do means more fun.

Hoenn honestly just took a step down from gold, silver, and crystal. GSC was revolutionary and Hoenn just went back to RBY, you know what I mean? Personally I didn't like any games after GSC. (Except for Fire and Leaf) But I have no problem if hoenn comes back in HGSS

Well, I wouldn't mind it. I think I might actually like it.

Since Kanto is connected to Jhoto,
We can get 2 sets of badges already. Having Hoenn there makes 3 sets of badges.

It would be neat to see Hoenn all enhanced.

It might be a hoax, of course.
No need sweat it until it comes out in Japan.

You share my opinion exactly. :)
Come on, as much as I love GSC, and it's by far my favourite, but Hoenn is still my favourite Region. As Gallade said, it was exotic, the maps were really nice, it had some interesting twists that I didn't expect and it was pretty big. Sinnoh was a step down, it really was bland, it was dull and after I completed it the first time and compared it to the other games I realised it was over-hyped and not as good.
I'm really all for Hoenn in HG/SS, but I doubt it will be added. :(

This is really, my opinion exactly. Sinnoh brought back some of the cool features, but not the cool mapping, and meh, I didn't like the story too well either. Hoenn had good mapping, but the game itself was bleh. Honestly I just didn't really like how the took a huge step down from GSC.

...Meh, I can go either way. Unlike the rest of you, I'm not fortunate enough to have a working copy of R/S/E anymore, so I can't really play it whenever I Want. Adding Hoenn into the mix adds many more possibilities, such as [non-underground] Secret Bases returning, contests, another Elite-4 and the Emerald Battle Fronter! But then again, I'm all for originality, so I wouldn't mind if it was just Kanto and Johto.

Yeah, having hoenn would be awesome but I could care less if there wasn't a hoenn

Adding features from Hoenn, would be nice and even though I liked it I really don't want to see the region itself. I'd much rather see a few new places in Johto or Kanto that house Hoenn pokemon for us to catch.

Even if they do add in Hoenn (very unlikely) it's been three years since R/S/E and it'll probably be like G/S/C's Kanto. Plus it would defeat the purpose of bringing the Weather Trio to Johto.
