There's an old quote I saw years ago that lives in my head permanently, and it's "If you're cold, you can keep putting on blankets, but if you're hot there's only so much clothing you can take off before it becomes illegal." or something to that effect.~
Despite being Canadian, I'd definitely prefer to be hot than cold. Having to leave for work one morning at 6am in -30 degree weather is an experience I'll unfortunately never forget.
I'm fortunate that the area I grew up in had fantastic weather (snow a couple months of the year and warm/fairly hot summers), so the worst I'd ever have to deal with is "we weren't equipped to handle snow, and now I'm telling my boss I'm not coming in to work because the trains are delayed", which was something I wasn't too upset about in the moment.
I'm just generally a fan of the summer, hotter weather meaning I can wear more clothes I can enjoy, or brighter skies putting me in a better mood, so the colder winters can usually end up being the opposite, though winter fashion is still super cute!
