About me...
Who cares?
Well, I am Zanny77. I have been doing sprites for about 2 months, and I am currently doing sprites (among other things) for Pokemon ToxicPurple, along with some odds and ends things for other hacks.

Plot...
What a twist!

Why not read the intro?

You (a gothic boy/girl) are living a normal life in your hometown of Kyuss. The entire world is one, big Hot Topic store for the most part. Some towns have more specified interests (there is a town for each type of music I want to incorporate, ranging from emo to death metal to biker metal). Your having a fine day, when a news bulletin flashes on the TV. A gang of misfits are trying to take over the world! This may not really warrant your attention, but they have already captured a town to the North...where your best friend (name) lives!! This gang is apparetnly using "love and happiness" music to brainwash the citizens into a group of happy-go-lucky people! They ditch their goth clothes for pink shirts and khaki shorts! And then the clincher....(name) is in a white frilly shirt and a pink dress! You scream and run out, bent on destroying them! You go downstairs and find your parents watching the same tragedy unfold. But after the birth of your baby sister, they need to take care of you. You are 18, so they decided to have you fight for them. They send you to Aqua Black, where you can buy your first Pokemon, although due to the crisis, they decided to give you one for free! You get to choose between Candesm, a candle Pokemon (fire), Blial, a blood vial Pokemon (water), or Belrose, a rose Pokemon (grass). You must now make your selection and go off to fight these horrid gang members! The first town you meet isn't really noticeable, but once you go underground, you see a hive of emos underground (que AFI - The Interview). It seems no one has been "infected" so you presume the town is safe, but then you hear a cry from a cave nearby. You investigate, and find that that gang is planning an attack! You take them on, and slowly you manage to get information out of them. They are Team Happiness, a gang bent on making the world happy and care-free. You wonder why they are doing this, and it seems each happy-go-lucky member after the other is crazier than the last. Then you find the commander of this group. He reveals the true reason of making everyone happy: to unleash a mighty Pokemon! (Don't worry, this won't be as generic as it sounds...give it some time.) Yes! It is said that if the world becomes endangered and the blackness turns to happiness, a mighty gothic Pokemon will come to save them...and they plan on capturing it! You take down the commander in a battle, and he admits defeat. He thinks you may be strong enough to join Team Happiness, and gives you a Key#1 to get into the Happy HQ. You go on through your quest. As you reach Linkin, the town of the incident on TV, you see it has gotten worse. Happy music blares non-stop from loudspeakers, and all the citizens are acting like there is nothing evil or morbid in the world, only sunshine and happiness. You destroy the speakers to stop the music, and the citizens look at you, still brainwashed. The commander of the squad that took over this group comes over to you. He tries to corrupt you, tempting you to power, money, men/women up to your eyeballs. Saying all you need to do is listen to the music. You question him further, trying to figure out how far this has spread. He tells you that 10 squads have set out to control the world, taking over each town and city in the region. He then sends the brainwashed horde against you, but you manage to fight and survive. You then take down the commander. He laughs and gives you a Key#2, only saying "Now everything is falling into place...." before fleeing. With him gone, you manage to restore the citizens back to themselves, and the town slowly begins the procress of becoming normal again.

Title screen is glitched.
In Mysterious Cave, you cannot run into wild Pokemon (not intentional)
After talking to Happy Admin #1, after his speech, when he tries to disappear, all it does is make the screen darker.
You cannot leave after entering some houses or caves in Hawthorne.

Well, its nice. I'm not a Goth myself, and sort of completely loath and detest the sort of music you are sticking in, but its not a huge deal to put the comp on mute. I'll be interested to see some new sprites, the screens look nice, you seem to be able to script. I'm not a fan of the story line, probably because I'm not a Goth or Emo (As stated above ^^)
Anyway, I wish you luck with this, and I hope it excels.

Thanks....I figured that not a lot of people would like this idea, as there aren't that many goths/emos/metalheads/etc.
As I'm working all on my lonesome, if I like the ideas, it stays. XD

I really don't know what image you could use for it though...I haven't inserted any Pokemon.
Main Pokemon = I don't know. This game is going to, yes, have Fakemon (although I am debating having a Fakemon-free version as well).
The story revolves around this "Mystic Legendary Pokemon" that will save the region when peace, love, and happiness engulf the region, but currently, I haven't created the Pokemon yet. :\

Yes, I will have more...outdoor screens up, but I REALLY want to wait until I've inserted new tiles.
I PROMISE when I get some new tiles in, I will get new screens. I'm probably going to have to make my own, though. There aren't too many dreary, gothic looking Pokemon tilesets out there. :\

But yea, I will get some new screens out.

So, an update.

I haven't worked on this game in a while, as school and regular life have been busying me to NO END. I haven't been able to work, but I have gotten back into things. I hope to have either the main character OWs or the opening main character sprites done by Saturday. I have found a few glitches...one of which is not neccessary to the game, the other is just a messed up board in the Underground Wood. However, I should have some sprites inserted by Saturday, and maybe I'll actually work on some scripts! By the end of next week, I am hoping to have the first town scripted.


And maybe I'll actually CHANGE SOMETHING in the start house. XD

But I include credits and copywrite info (I know that's not enough), so idk for now. I'm pretty sure adding in the music will be last. Also, I'm sure that for the Pokemon songs to be added from R/S/E will be fine, and I can ask thumphrey for permission to use his cover (which is Tool...sort of). So yea....working on that.

Just an update: I got Pokemon Diamond on my DS. I have pretty much ditched any life I still had, and have pretty much ignored this hack...I will probably start seriously working in a few days.
