Well I think Houndy can show how cute it is by saving someone, that gets everything attention, love and such~
 
Just a bit of info about Hounour/doom in d/p. You cannot catch houndour/doom until you complete the sinnoh dex by SEEING all the pokemon and getting the national dex AND get the poketore, so you have to wait till after the E4. *Sigh* just another pokemon is rejected from helping you beat the elite 4

I honestly don't think Houndooms are smart enough to remember their birthdays.

Maybe, If I knew what thier views on keeping time were, I could answer. Buti guess they would have birthdays but it would be governed by seasons rather then human years and it wouldn't be too important to them.
 
Soulflame you're smart. I do agree that they'd go on a seasonal clock instead of a day-by-day 24 hour clock. They wouldn't be able to predict what their birthday is, like the exact day, but they'd know at least it was [this much time] into [insert season here].
 
Imagine if they did bake a bitrthday cake for each houndour, It'll be like 3-6 cakes on one day And some very full houndour!
 
They'd get fat and bloated, then they couldn't be swift and fast!
 
Ok thats how i'm going to catch a houndour. Feed it birthday cake. Then after I catch it, exercise with it a lot. Its the purfect plan....
