  • Ah, metal. I love it, it's a huge part of my musical life. :)

The heaviest stuff I listen to is probably Rammstein. Their fusion of techno and doom/power metal brings a powerful, hard sound which is hard to match, unless you're a band like Eisbrecher.

The heavier stuff I listen to is Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Dethklok, Metallica, and occasionally some GoreBastard, a Newgrounds artist.

  • If you like equilibrium check out Eluveitie, another folk twist on melodeath, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iijKLHCQw5o

Holy crap, at long last, someone else who knows Eluveitie.

I'm a metalhead, yeah, but I don't listen so much for the heaviness, seeing how I listen to mostly technical/prog metal. From this perspective, it's very hard to judge what the heaviest thing I listen to is. So, here's a (very short) list of techdeath and regular prog metal bands I enjoy: Opeth, Gojira, Between the Buried and Me, Mastodon... etc.

  • I am a huge fan of any type of metal, though moreso the old classic Heavy Metal bands such as Iron Maiden and Guns N' Roses. Honestly, it takes some understanding of the Metal genre to actually like it. Metal, in any way, is a form of freedom and expression. That's not to say other genre's aren't an expression of freedom, its just to say that metal is a different type. As Metal became more popular and more open in the fifties, the age when chaos was pretty much everywhere; The War ending, depression, drugs, human rights activists, ect. that was the time to express your feelings and inner freedom.

Heavy Metal also reflects on the morally wrong, getting killed, raped, slavery, war, drugs; but your just have to understand the full lyrics and truly understand it. Some may say that a certain song may be stupid because it talks about death and screams constantly with blurred words, but that's because they don't understand the story line behind it.

There are of course songs that simply have no point, and I'm not going to deny that, but the true meaning and love behind Metal songs are often hidden underneath riddles and brief understanding that comes with a slow understanding. ...If that make's any sense... But ask yourself this... What do you wanna do with your life?

    I WANNA ROCK!

most of the stuff i listen to is Slipknot, Suicide Silence, Stone Sour, In Flames, The Used, Alter Bridge, Bullet For My Valentine, Whitechapel, Lamb of God, Pantera, Killswitch Engage, Linkin Park, Cradle of Filth ETC.

Although i do like music such as Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Guns n' Roses. yano, classic rock stuff

  • I listen to a lot of Death/Black metal... >.>
Six Feet Under, Dying Fetus, Skinless, Cannibal Corpse, Cephalic Carnage, Nile... A lot of others I can't really think of =X
Listen to other stuff to but those would be the most "aggressive".

  • Basically if you want heavy, listen to Crowbar or Merzbow.

Nothing like a good noise blast to blow your mind out.

Any sludge or true death metal will do the trick.

  • womanizer has anybody listened to it what are your comments about it ?
WTF! Womanizer by Britney Spears, Aggressive music?
This is a thread about aggressive music so asking thoughts on that is not really relevant, is it?
If you think Britney Spears is the most aggressive artist you have heard then you need to really listen to some of the songs listed on this thread.

    Go the Guns! :D
I love to listen to Pantera or Metallica when I either need to get physically motivated or vent anger/frustration. It amplifies (pardon the pun) the venting when I play it myself.

  • Well ,

the heaviest thing i ever heared was pure **** .. thesong was called
'**** your God' and it was by the band 'Deicide' ..
Thats deffenly the hardest song i've ever heared . but its also the biggest **** 've heared (except for all those Rnb , rap persons) ..

As for songs that are still good . most Screamo , deathcore , grindcore , Trash-metal bands are pretty aggresive and mainly good .
ex. (the first to come to my mind) :
    - (screamo) Hopes die last - thanks for coming (I LIKE YOU DEAD!)
    - (Screamo) Emarosa - 'Armageddon'
    - (Deathcore) Suicide silence - The price of beauty
    - (Deathcore) As blood runs black - 'Hyster prynne'
    - (Deathcore) Bring me the horizon - 'Shed light'
    - (Trash-metal) Light this city - 'The unelcome savior'
    - (Grindcore) Iwrestledabearonce - 'Tastes like kevin bacon'

But why loo for aggresive music ? its all about how it sounds .. (most peopple as me how I can listen to the scraming .. I say I don't ind them screaming , I would if i wouldn't sound .)

I'm not sure if there's anything mor aggresive then this except for some **** deathmetal bands like deicide

    As for your question , there are genre's more agresive then deathmetal .;
    Deathcore and grindcore ..
    check these :
Suicide silence , As blood runs black , (old) Bring me the Horizon , Job for a cowboy , Here comes the kraken , annotanations of an autopsy

    Forother check out youtube ;)

EDIT : (lol only listen if you like to much drums , and all kinds of screaming .. whisper , inward , etc..)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpsNdqzIeDM suicide silence - The price of beauty
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrFTR9fucr8 IWRESTALEDABEARONCE - tastes like kevin bacon (this female vocals is insane .. )
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULw6Dj94ZSc Suicide silence - The fallen
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ah94AztDlU As blood runs black - Hestyr prynne
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AWggPLXeOkU Bring me the horizon - Pray for lagues
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1H4SVRApGhM Light this city - the unwelcome savior
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mxi6tSCYygc here comes the kraken - don't fail me darko
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue0kCn5YRE0 JFAC - knee deep (Spongbob movie)

    Give it a go
but I warn you .. i know all bands that have been posted until now in this thread .. and these guys tower out above them all

  • The same way people get into music that is just instrumental. Most of the times you can understand the lyrics to a screamo song and half the time they aren't bad at all you just have to make an adjustment. The human voice is the most expressive instrument we'll ever have and you can really show passion be it in screaming, singing, talking, or whatever.

Timbaland just talks in his song and Keri hilson sings but Britney has passion into her voice.

I normally listen to Britney Spears but when I want loud bass music I listen to Paramore or Linkin Park.

    That's nothing. This is music:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-sFq-V_AK0

Either that, or anything by Burn the Priest.

My friend is really into black metal, and you just get used to it after a little while. In fact, if I ignore the fact that the lyrics to that song (look them up, because they're too disgusting for me to post) make me want to lose faith in humanity, it's kind of musical.

Excellent. Music people can understand, music that doesn't make you dread anything, music that doesn't make your ears bleed, and music that doesn't make me want to stab my monitor with a knife.

The majority of the songs linked by a few of the repliers to this thread are full of screaming and snorting. That's not what I call music. That's what I call annoying noise that needs to be annihilated. I don't know how anyone can train their ears to recognize that as music. That alone astonishes me.

In regards to the links, a warning, don't link so many songs in the same post. We don't need a list of heavy songs to listen to, just a few will do for those looking for more heavier things. It takes years to adapt to that noise and recognize it as music after you've truly heard what music is. Men screaming and shouting like baboons is not music. With that said, don't try to convince others to listen to that if they point out what their heaviest artist they listen to is. It's not going to work.

thats EXACTLY my thought when it comes to Rap/rnb/rapmetal
and no it doesn't takes years , all it takes is to listen , i've always listened to screamo and i liked deathcore from the first song , and no the difference between screamo and deazthcore is huge so don't start using that for an excuse ..

    ointopic ,
The starter of the topic asked for 'how aggresive have you gone in music'
I just listed out some of the real heavy .. that i know not everyone likes ...

Music is wat you yourself like , everyone likes something els , so whats the big deal .. if you don't like it you could say it on an other tone not saying 'it sux' :S
And why the hate against screaming ? its all about how it sounds ..
Screaming makes some thing better and gives the song the litl extra ..
listen to thses 2 song and i hope you understand what i mean with it ..
the meaning of these song is made clear by the sreaming .
listen to the first song if you don't believe me .. its not as hard as the second .

Yes, Aepriz. If you spend all your life listening to genres other than heavy genres, it takes a long time to contrast yourself into the genre of screamo and others such as that. I don't know what excuses have to do about this, but I do know that you've completely misread the point of my post and if you don't understand the post itself, don't reply to it. Because clearly you don't as it's pointing out that everyone has different tastes and it doesn't require you to link countless songs to the thread. The topic is asking what the heaviest thing you listened to was; not "Link me to some heavy songs". If you think your links are going to continue this discussion, you're strongly mistaken. As pointed out in the rules, sole purposes of YouTube links are not allowed.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious?

Now, with that said, I feel you're going to continue this into forms other than what I intended it to be since you've done that already to myself and others, so I'm gonna close this thread. If anyone would like to start this thread over, feel more than free to do so and point out what's acceptable in the discussion.
