This is just my opinion, but I wanna know if anyone agrees.
I think Ash should have actually won the Silver Conference instead of having a deflating ending. In the final battle, Pidgeot and Butterfree should return and help to achieve an unlikely victory. Also, instead of Kingler getting injured before the tournament, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Bayleef, Heracross and Noctowl should have and possibly all died from said injuries.
Having won the Silver Conference, the show should have ended cos all the episodes thereafter are rubbish to be honest. Maybe have a '10 years later' episode to reveal what became of the characters. Misty has a baby, but it turns out that Gary is the father which drives Ash to depression and drugs. Brock, now horribly disfigured from a boating accident gets murdered by a terminally ill Prof Oak.

Maybe a bit hard hitting, but I think it would have been better.

    Who agrees?

Uhhh...I don't agree. At all. xD They would never make Cyndaquil, Totodile, Bayleef and the others die. Ever. And Misty having a baby? Drugs? Murder? Uhm...have you been reading to many fan-fics?

Yeah, I think its a bit too much. Pokemon die, thats just sad. Ash becomes depressed and goes on drugs, that is just horrible to think about. Please, people don't want to know about this kind of stuff, ok?

You can't avoid these issues, they're a part of life!
But, my main point is that the show should have ended after the Johto saga.
And Pidgeot should have won some epic battle at some point.

You can't avoid these issues, they're a part of life!

But they are NOT a part of the anime.

Really, Ash's Pokemon dying? Getting depressed and going on drugs?? Brock getting murdered!??? You didn't even bother to think about what you were typing before posting it, did you? In the end, this is a children's anime, and to see such things in this show...is about as likely as seeing fights on Barney.

Of course he did! His main point was that most or all of the episodes after this point in the story were rubbish, so they should have ended it there and then on a high note, with some of Ash's older (better) pokemon returning to save the day. The rest of what he said is for those of us with a sense of humour.

That's a very sick sense of humor, then. Certainly not the kind you would find on a normal (or even sane) person. Besides...

This is just my opinion, but I wanna know if anyone agrees.

I see no signs of humor in that post.

Should some of his older Pokemon return? Yes. Should the series have ended there? Not really. Part of the series' popularity IS from the anime, after all...

    MY IDEA!! :)

Ash decides to work on his PokeDex by searching throughout Kanto and completing his data there. Misty, Brock, and Max agree to help him with this, thus joining the Pokemon Chronicles saga.

    Meanwhile:

    POKEMON D/P

Diamond and Dawn are two aspiring Trainers who dream of being stars. Diamond wants to win the Sinnoh League, and become a star coordinator. Dawn is a Trainer who wishes to be a good Pokemon researcher and coordinatior. Together, with their parters, Turtwig and Piplup, they travel across Sinnoh, with the goal of capturing every Pokemon in the region.

I disagree. It's funny because, as you put it, "to see such things in this show...is about as likely as seeing fights on Barney."

    That's humour.

A perfectly valid response, I respect your opinion.

Yeah, that would've been a completly unlikley victory all right. Butterfree was weak and Pidgeot had no training (and hardly any when it was Pidgeotto, anyway) Were the 2 of them supposed to win the whole tournament or something? Because none of Ash's Pokemon were strong enough to win a league except Charizard, Snorlax and maybe Pikachu.

Also, instead of Kingler getting injured before the tournament, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Bayleef, Heracross and Noctowl should have and possibly all died from said injuries.

    ?

Yeah, end the show on the worst series ever. And Pokemon shall be remembered for fillerdom...what a high point.

At least there are less fillers now and every episode isn't: this trainer needs help! Oh noes! There are *some* but definiatly not as much as Johto

Maybe have a '10 years later' episode to reveal what became of the characters. Misty has a baby, but it turns out that Gary is the father which drives Ash to depression and drugs. Brock, now horribly disfigured from a boating accident gets murdered by a terminally ill Prof Oak.

Brock should be killed by a gang of Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys. But the Nurse Joys then battle the Officer Jennys for not putting a danger like Brock in prison years ago.

Its funny because its not what would happen at all...which makes it funny...not the thought of it actually happening in like real life lol.

-.- No...I believe that would fall more under irony.

I actually have a sense of humor, and just saying "Ash's Pokemon dies, he turns emo and starts abusing drugs, and Brock is killed by Professor Oak" is NOT funny. That's actually tragedy, which by definition isn't funny.

Unless, of course, you're the kind of sick person who finds plays such as Romeo & Juliet funny.

If you're going to at least try to make it funny, then you have to make it incredibly exaggerated, such as "Pidgeot comes back and whips up a humongous Whirlwind that sends Ash to Oz. While there, he gets beat up by the Lollipop Guild. The end."

As much as I'd like to close this, this is actually amusing. So, I'll leave it on for the moment. Silly Earth logic. Heh.

    O.O

Pidgeot was very powerful like all the fully evolved Pokemon. Would destroy Noctowl any day of the week (apart from Tuesday).

XD Have to wonder what Noctowl does on Tuesday's

Pidgeot can beat Noctowl...but anything can beat Noctowl. His Johto team were weak. If Ash is depressed, well...let's say that you've gotta have just a little sympathy for his Johto team, the poor guys.

    Irony *is* humour https://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/British_humour

Yeah, Reality. The Pokemon world is alot different than the real world. What?, Ash getting high of some sort of thing he purchased from the pokemart or stole medicine from the pokemon center, its just plain stupid.

Well, morbid humor amuses me, so I don't mind. Depending on the context, of course. And a funny Romeo and Juilet would have been better than the reality. Wasn't that the point of the 96 version? (Yes, I'm being facetious.)

Besides, I'm not taking this seriously, so why should you? Heh.

    Oh! The Lollipop Guild!

Correction: Tragedy + Time + Satire = humor. I don't see anybody laughing about the World Wars...
