4th Gen How are you preparing for the release of HG/SS?

Definitely staying away from the pokemon crystal game that i bought ALOT of years ago.It still works but I locked it up somewhere so I dont play it.I want to have that thrill like I had when i first played pearl only following characters text's where to go.I dont want to just go through those longg chats that tell you where to go next already knowing where to go.I want to have a fresh start like when I played yellow when I was younger(my first pkmn game)And the sinnoh games pearl and platinum.So all I'm doing know is chilling for summer,at beaches:)!

I'm playing Crystal right now, to get reacquainted with the game (plus, I never completely finished it in English the first time round, so some of this already feels new :D) and trying to decide which version to buy.

SoulSilver, because Silver is the version I had originally... or HeartGold, because Gold is not the version I had originally? Decisions, decisions...

Ive just been keeping up with the news, as it'll be a while before it comes out :P
Maybe a week or two before the release ill start playing Crystal, or maybe even Shiny Gold haha.

1. Playing Platinum, so that I can fully enjoy the amazing graphics and imagine how awesome HG and SS will look (Also, I'm raising some Johto Pokemon in Platinum)
2. Drawing fan art
3. Checking this forum 5 to 10 times a day to see if there's any HG/SS news posted (okay, I'm exaggerating... or am I? :D)
4. Planning my future HeartGold team, coming up with possibilities for my character's and rival's names
5. Continuing Johto-based fan fiction I started a while back
6. Playing Pokemon Puzzle Challenge, Pokemon Stadium 2 and other games from the 2nd generation
7. Other than that, living my life as usual

im trying not to play the games. I already know all the cities/towns of johto basically and i don't want to ruin the johto andventure by playing the originals (not that itls likely!), but i'll try not to risk it ^_^

What can I do really? I guess I will just watch the original Johto episodes and enjoy Pokemon Chronicles. I Already have my team picked out.

Meh, it's expected that most of us will remember the classics by getting our GSC games and replaying them, some starting new games, other remembering their "beat-the-eff-out-o-those-games" teams and how to start training them for HGSS, or just to go to the Battle Tower and use Uber Pokémon all they want (I'm doing that). Some are even playing Shiny Gold just to get an idea.

Me? Well, I'm doing some of the above, while keeping an official countdown for their JPN release, saving for an R4i to download it and play it right away, even if I won't understand 85% of it. ​

I am just keeping up with the news and ev training my pokemon up on platinum and getting my hands on as many of the event pokemon to unlock stuff on HG/SS i already have the PCP and NZ Jirachi I just need to wait for the Arceus event now and then I will have all of them.

I'll be doing nothing out of the ordinary, actually. I have other priorities besides getting HGSS, Its unlikely I'll be getting the money to buy it for quite awhile anyway, and last time I waited for a Pokemon game it didn't go well...

I'll probably be looking forward to it when its really close to coming out here.

step 3: pay at checkout
step 4: walk out of stall

Get Christmas & Birthday money. (B/d is in Feb. ^_^)
Pre-order the games.
Wait a while.
Go to the store (bring the DS fully charged) when the game is out. (Pay if I haven't yet.)
Buy a Johto stylus. (Hopefully.)
Leave the store, take the game out of the package when sitting on a bench (If I'm in the mall) or take it out in the car, put the game in. Have the music on as loud as possible. (Possibly use headphones.) Turn the game on, watch the intro & listen. :D

In the meantime, I'll look up info on the games by going to this site, serebii, or youtube. (Watch the gameplay videos on youtube/and go on serebii to look up what attacks the pokemon learn so I can decide a starter.) I'll also play my Leafgreen, Emerald, Diamond, and Platinum. (It narrows down my options of what Pokemon to use.)

AND For old times sake, when I run into a Magikarp, I'm going to cheer with excitement like I did the first time I played Gold version. I will also look for a Corsola, because that's what I used to do.

I am playing my Crystal version through again just so I remember the gyms, cities, and what not. But I have it all down pat now.
