How do you make a custom avatar?

The title sums up my question. How do you make a custom avatar?

Download PSP, MSPaint, and some tutorials.
Then just use your imagination and figure things out.

If you have a windows computer then you have MS Paint. First of all if you want a cool background but dont have psp or photoshop, then go to Google.com and search for the type of background you want under the Google Image Search. Once you find the one you want then copy and paste it into MS Paint (MS Paint should be under Programs>>Accesories) Now that you have a background, then go back to Google.com to find a picture. Search for the picutre you want and then copy and paste it into paint. If it has a solid background color then set that color to be trans parent by using the selector tool. Then make whatever finishing touches you need and then save it to your computer. Remember that a custom avatar has to be 130x130 or less. Then go to the user control pannel and click change avatar. Then at the bottom click browse, then find your image and press open. Then press change avatar, and there you go your own custom avatar.

Actually avatars can be up to around 130x130 on vBullentin forums, so it doesn't have to be 100x100

Edit: Nevermind, I just checked ant it is 130x130. Last time I changed my avatar it would only let me do 100x100.

It can be any size on vB forums, it's just that we set it to 130 x 130 so it doesn't take up too much space. Though 130 x 130 is pretty big for a forum. ^^;

Mmm, most forums only allow 100 x 100... and when you're allowed to upload, it shrinks even more. =p

The best people have avatars that are 150 x 148 pixels though. ;o

Nah going all out and having it at at full 150x150 is the best for me. No need to cut myself short so gonig to 150x150 is great for me. XD

The moving text stuff? I am the one that does that. I also did that for a few other members too.
