How many Pokemon do you breed a day looking for Shiny?

The lowest i've ever gotten believe it or not was 5 eggs, and it was a shiny Chespin. The most was around 400 and that was a shiny Fenniken.
 
I've had shinies pop up after only about 20 eggs, but I've also had to hatch a couple hundred eggs to get one. Ironically, the Pokémon I'm breeding competitively have been the ones to surprise me with shinies really fast, but the Pokémon I breed specifically for shinies seem to take forever.
 
Roughly around a box or two. I really want a shiny Gible cause Mega Chomp is pink and pink is powa! Currently around 300 eggs or so and still no shiny.
 
The first shiny i hatched was my First egg a Chimchar , now i cant hatch anything , its like i expect to hatch a shiny fast now , 1 box to me is alot
I do 1 box before i get bored as hell lol
