How many Pokemon do you predict before the end?

    Before the series (games, manga, anime, etc.) all come to a close how many Pokemon do you predict there'll be?

    I'm thinking around 600 or so.

    I honestly don't know why they couldn't crank out another 7 to make it an even 500.

    Because there'd need to be an entire new generation if they wanted to make new Pokemon. And if they make a whole new generation, they'd better have more than a measly 7 Pokemon to show for it.

    I'm thinking around 600-650 or so, too.

    They have to stop eventually. :\ After that, I'm guessing they'll make other types of games like PMD and such.

    Call me crazy but i feel like it'll be around 1500 pokemon.. yes i am crazy '^_^ i can even taste it.

    895 pokemon is mine. I think it'll make it that far before they have to revamp every game into one ultimate game.

    OK. I don't really think so, but I do want them to stop making Pokémon. I mean, they're cool and everything but it's not the right way. Just stop everything and make a MMORPG. It would sell millions and we'd be happy with our 493 species of Pokémon.

    By the way, Arceus is the "god" so, unless they come up with something better than that, I guess the Dex ends here.

    Maybe around 800. I suppose 1 or 2 more generations are possible. I'm not sure if they could make it to a 1000

    meh, i wish they had stopped making new pokemon at the advance generation, that was all i could handle. now i have 200 more pokemon to memorize, and i dont even have the guide :(

    Enough so that little kids's brains would be consumed by Pokémon, and have no room for 2+2=4. There will be 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Pokémon, until they run out of money and crash.

    I cant predict a number, but since they keep remaking the games over and over all the time, next being a silver/gold remake "i think" i predict there will be probly 800 or so pokemon.

    Tbh tho i doubt the series will ever end, the Pokemon name has been out since before some you were born that or when you were still in diapers :P yea that long and its still very popular, the card game has made a comback and with the release of D/P and how well its done specially with the Introduction of WI-FI trading and battle's i doubt the series will ever end.

    They wont stop until it stop's making money. Pokemon is like the Mario of my Generation it isnt gonna end.

    As for the guy who said to stop making pokemon and make a MMO that would never work. Alot of people like Pokemon because of the Handheld games. The way the game is played how simple and easy it is the game has been played the same way for 11-12 years now and thats why people keep comming back. Whats turns me away from pokemon are crappy games like the ones for the Console's with all the fancy graphics and the wierd gameplay. I'll stick the old fation way, sometimes good graphics and stuff like that isnt the way to go it turns people away.

    A pokemon MMO would fail. It would be neat to try and actually walk around like you would on say world of warcraft catching pokemon in a free huge world, training and battling with others online but i just dont think it would work it isnt the same

    Not necessarily. With all these Wi-Fi things, I think they could easily handle a decent MMORPG in a handheld. Or at least in a home console. Really, fancy graphics are cool but just battling doesn't make a game (yet I bought PBR :p). Now if the handheld was normal and there was a MMORPG in the home console where you can import your Pokémon, that'd be cool. They could even update stuff. But I know this would limit a bit the next generations, so probably money is more important.
