later-game rods have a higher chance of finding rare patterns and shinies iirc

I recently fished and raised a Calico Gold karp, which was a nice find.

That brings my count to two. {Yes I'm counting any Gold/Pink coloration as a shiny.}

It's not exactly common, but there are much rarer patterns than it. I'd say it's uncommon.

i think i'm at 4 pinks and 4 shinies total so far. yesterday was lucky.

I've caught 4 so far! Currently at Trainer Rank 26 so I definitely feel lucky in that regard. I don't remember all their names but I had one called Nugget and another one named Glitter. :D
