How often you have arguments with your family??

I argue with my mom a lot. She always thinks she's right about everything, and it pisses me off because she's almost always wrong. -_-

Back in the day, while my brother lived at home, he'd be rather hypocritical at times, he'd tell me not to do something to him (like calling him names) and then he'd do it to me. And he'd openly say he didn't care in the slightest. He'd infuriate me and try to get me to stop knowing full well i'd do the opposite.

Nowadays arguments stem from my mom yelling at me over very minor things, and it's not enjoyable. ):

Nah. My family and I have matured quite a bit over the years. We used to argue and have problems, due to my distance and anger, my father's alcoholism, my siblings having drama in their lives and debt, my mother's depression, etc., etc. It was all a huge strain on us, but over time we have grown closer. I think it is because people are getting old and dying off en masse. My grandparents are losing siblings/spouses/friends and are pretty much on their own without us, so we take care of each other now.

I pretty much disagree with everyone in my family, so we end up yelling at each other a lot.

Not anymore. I just stopped talking to my mother. It stings sometimes, but there was so much of that in my childhood that I refuse to make that anger and senseless a part of my life any further.

Not too often. I almost never argue with my older sister since she's very easygoing. Sometimes I argue with my parents and my older brother. But overall we're pretty close.

I always found the concept of people arguing with their grandparents bizarre because I can't recall having a single argument with any of my grandparents.

I've cut ties with most of my family other than my grandparents. My mom and I fought all the time about her alcoholism and drug use. My sisters and I didn't really fight, but we weren't particularly close.

I wonder if that's a closeness thing? I argue with people I'm close with, because...I'm close with them so we share more opinions and therefore fight more. But my great-aunt, the equivalent of my grandparent, I barely ever fight with (I can remember once in the past few years), because I don't see her much so although I love her as family she's not close enough to me to fight with her, you know?
