How to fix Syntax errors?

    I post this thread, because i'm using pokemon essentials version 13 and when i tried to add new stuff, like new page scripts, i'm always getting this anoying errors like below:

    Script 'scriptnamehere' line x Syntax Error occurred.

    x* = number of the line of the current script.

    I want to learn how to fix this kind of problems.

    Can someone explain to me?

    Wrong board. And there is no one stop fix for syntax errors, they can occur for different reasons. Too many or too few "end"s , you didn't close a parentheses or quotation, etc. A syntax error means that it's something that cannot be read properly. Basically, detecting an error before the error will occur. If the syntax error occurs at the end of the script, it's generally the case of not enough ends.
     
    Pokemon essentials v13 brought too many problems to my game, and i don't edit the scripts without reading carefully how to do it first, but i don't know why this kind of errors still appear. I tried a clean version of pokemon essentials v13 and i got the same problems, i'm not a scripter or a programer but i want to fix our found another way to "fix" this. Or maybe v14 will repair the v13 problems.

    Are you working with pokemon essentials v16.2?

    PS my standard Pokemon essentials script isn't working. I keep having random syntax errors. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hey there! First off, please try not to post several times in a row in quick succession. If you have more to add to your post, you can always use the 'edit' button to include more. I went ahead and merged your posts for you but keep that in mind for the future.

    Second, remember to check the last post in threads before replying. This one hasn't had a post since 2014 so it's considered dead/inactive and the thread owner likely doesn't need help anymore. If you yourself need help, feel free to remake the topic!
