    Not sure if this goes here though, but anyways do you like the new hyperbeam in HG/SS?

    I think they were aiming for it to look like the original hyper beam in the GSC games. Powerful and awesome looking. And they were reallly close. I couldnt find a screenshot of it though :[
    BUT IT LOOKS AWESOME!

    so what do you think of it? (they also re-did psychic)

    I doubt it, as they were only in the anime (I think).

    Please stay on the thread topic about move animations in HG/SS and whatnot, but I'll say that it's very unlikely the Orange Islands will be in a game. It's an anime-only thing not made by Game Freak (and many other places in anime aren't in the games either - Orange Islands only served as a filler setting in-between Johto and Kanto), and when they had the chance to use them? They made the Sevii Islands instead.
     
    Haven't seen it.
    Personally, I don't use the move, because anything that requires a recharge SUCKS [Don't Deny It]
    And I haven't seen any of my opponents use it, either.

    Also, Psychic's new animation is total win.
     
    I prefered Pt. Hyper Beam ...
    But this is alright form HGSS .

    I'm searching YouTube for a video with Hyper Beam in it, since I have morals that prevent me from downloading copies of games that I don't have a physical copy of.

    I should try using Thunder I've got the game and I didn't notice. I think there's a picture of HG/SS's Hyper Beam on the "Hyper Beam (Move)" page on Bulbapedia.

    You do understand that every time the Orange Islands are mentioned, a puppy dies?
    Ontopic, cool. I'm liking recent move animations. I love how they tried to make this true to the originals in sly little ways like Pokemon sprites, and this. It adds a nice little twinge of nostalgia, something I didn't really get from Leaf Green.

    theres a video on youtube from the user giancar(i frogot the rest of his user name) but go to youtuube and type in GCPM11 and on his page there should be a link to his main page. I would give you the link right now but Im using a freakin proxy on the school loanded laptop (my mom busted my main laptop)

    i like the new hyper beam...it re-mids me of the anime version...
     
    The new Hyper Beam looks alright to me. I like the colors, and I'm sure in motion it will look very well, but Platinum's Hyper Beam has satisfied me enough after their slight changes since Diamond and Pearl. I don't use Hyper Beam very highly in my teams unless need be, but because of this I don't mind the change too much. I don't favor it as highly, but it's okay.

    It is Psychic and the other moves that intrigues me at the moment. I would like to see what other changes may have been done with those as some of them are getting really well off after every game comes out.
