    I'm new to this :D
    I've been playing pokemon since the years of Diamond and Pearl, though my first game was Ruby Destiny which was a hack, and didn't own a console until Black and White.

    I got sucked in to this awesome series, and only now descided to try and fit in in some community.

    Unfortunately, where I am from pokemon are not popular in any way, i never really had anyone to play with.
    And am interested in mastering the ways of competetive battling!

    I believe we have a Ruby Destiny hack thread here in the forums, located at the Hacks Showcase section. You can always download it for your very own nostalgic pleasure~ & yeah, I didn't own a DS until I got Black & White, because that was the main reason why I wanted one, and I was finally able to play Soulsilver with it as well. xD

    I live near Mexico, so Pokemon is not really popular there as well. So I guess we're on the same boat it seems! Competitive Battling, eh? We have an extensive section for that. Whether you want to learn now, or have a team in mind that you want to have it rated. You can also take on your opponents by joining any tournaments, or battle casually via wifi, or on our own Showdown server. Either or, we have your battle essentials right here in the forums. <3

    As Meganium said, the Ruby Destiny hacks can be found here too, and the Battle Center is the place to be for competitive battling :)

    You'll definitely find plenty of Pokemon fans here so no worries. :) A lot of others come from places where Pokemon isn't too big - that's why communities like these are really great. There are plenty of Pokemon fans around here to meet so we're very happy to have you here with us!

    Oh, I've heard a lot of good things about Ruby Destiny but never played it. My first hack was all the way back in 2006 or 2007 called Shiny Gold; it's actually what brought me to PC. If you're ever interested in trying more of those, we have plenty over in the Emulation board.
