Back in the day~ people didn't have a wide variety of channels to choose from. Just about everyone ended up watching the same television shows because there simply weren't other shows to watch.

So let's say all of a sudden we were all only allowed to watch three networks on our televisions (ex. ABC, Disney, CBS, Nickelodeon, Discovery, TNT, USA, etc.) which networks would you choose and why? Also you don't have to base one of your answers around the News, it'll just be a freebie.

For myself I'd probably go with VH1 and E! for my daily dose of bad programming. Plus I really enjoy VH1's countdown shows and The Soup on E!. As for my third network I'd also get Discovery Channel. I loved their Planet Earth series which still shows from time to time. Along with A Haunting, Deadliest Catch, and occasionally Myth Busters.

Probably Sky 1, ITV and Nick. Sky 1 because it's the main channel I tune into. It's got House, had 24, has the Simpsons and a wide range of other great shows. ITV for X factor and the like. Nick so my sisters don't kill me. It'd be a pretty awesome compromise.

Pft, that is probably all I will watch anyway. I don't watch that much tv anymore. TV has gone downhill lately.

I will watch NBC, Cartoon Network, and Music Choice. That would all. NBC because of "The Biggest Loser" (I love that show). Cartoon Network because they still show some anime and classic cartoons. And Music Choice because I love listening to music. I can listen to any genre they got in that channel. XD

Wow this is a good question.
I'd have to say ESPN (Can't live w/o mah sports), ABC (Because they have good shows AND sports :D) and the third one....maybe MTV or Cartoon Network, I guess

    Awesome question.

Dave- (A channel in Britain the has comedy shows) Because I watch it every night xD

Sky Sports - Has some sick extreme sports on it.

ITV - Has things like X Factor and BGT on it :D

Food Network, NBC, and.... I dunno. I'd like to have the option of The Movie Network, but I'd probably go for the Travel + Escape channel.

I'd choose Nickelodeon (for the funny shows), Cartoon Network (for Pokemon) and HBO (if I want to take a break from watching cartoons all the time).

    ... I only have 5 TV stations to choose from for realz. ;__________;

Sooo, I pick channel 10, 7 and ABC. If I had your fancy channels, I would... still pick these ones, lol. :(

Thank goodness that I have friends. This way, I can just go to their houses and watch three channels instead.

To be honest, the only three channels that I would really stick to is Comedy Central, MTV, and the Food Channel. I can always watch all my anime online. My friends can always tell me if the Redskins destroyed the Cowboys or not, which they did. No one really watches the news anymore. I have never been a big fan of politics anyways.

I'm only picking MTV because of Jersey Shore, by the way. It is way too funny to choose something else beside it. Also, who doesn't want to see people make food all day!? I would die inside if I know that I can never watch Ace of Cakes or Cake Boss for the rest of my life. The very idea of it saddens me so. Comedy Central is so obvious. South Park, Family Guy, Futurama... ah, the good stuff.

That's is an interesting yet hard question, since I watch a lot of TV, but I'll probably keep these three channels only if I had to:

    • Discovery Science: Okay, I am a science freak and I love to watch anything that airs on DS. I can't miss an episode of Catch it, Keep it and certainly not The Future of...So, yes, this is the first one I can't not watch.
    • Cartoon Network: I mean who doesn't love watching cartoons every while and then? Also, there are shows that cannot be missed on CN: Ben 10, George of the Jungle, and some others that I cannot remember. And yes, I do watch those shows; they are amazing. I don't watch the Adult Swim shows, though.
    • ESPN or any other popular sports channel: I watch a lot of soccer/football and tennis, so I need to have at least one sports channel on my TV.

Cartoon Network, Investigation Discovery, and Fox.

Cartoon Network solely for their Saturday night anime Adult Swim block.

Investigation Discovery because it's what Court TV USED to be before they changed their name and added a bunch of crap.

Fox solely for America's Most Wanted.

Yeah, I don't watch much TV, and what I do watch is mainly anime or crime based.

I'm only used to the 5 channels that can be picked up by "regular TVs" because it's what I had for years. I have satellite TV now, but I don't watch television anymore so have no idea what all these hundreds of channels are for.

I'd keep two film channels. Because I've recently taken a real interest in film and I don't have to religiously tune in all the time so I can keep up like I have to do with TV series.
That's the only thing that would make me ever get satellite TV, film channels. Every time I turn the TV on (about 3 times a year) I only ever pay attention to those channels.
I'd keep the history channel aswell, it was called UKTVHistory, but I think they changed it.

Only three channels... ;3; I'd like to have ITV, Any music channel (preferibly one that doesn't have screamo on it. xD) annnnd BBC1. :3

Picking three channels wouldn't bother me at all, since I only watch three channels. xD Which would be BBC, the retro movie channel, and the Science Channel. So yeah, I'd still be able to watch Doctor Who, BBC News, the Wormhole, and various 80's movies, and those are the only things I watch that are still broadcast on TV.

If I only had 3 channels I would pick.
    1. Sports
    2. Dinsey
    3. Nick
