    I am making a good site award! I will rate sites on their content. It is for pokemon sites. I posted the pics of what the awards look like. It will be given to three sites per season starting in the summer. Soon I will have a site about the award. I have a question: do I just give the award or do people apply to want to win the award?

    The retarded size limits for the attachments won't let me post the pics, so they'll be posted on my site for it. I will post the URL as soon as it gets created.
     
    You need people to nominate sites, not just give the award, and the site owner shouldnt be able to nominate himself

    The awards aren't all that eye appealing... and the freewebs template could defiantly use a spruce-up.

    Well, Like my good friends at AnimeOrigins they have an award site. But people vote them in which i think is good. So if you want to make an awards site the best idea is to make it a voting site.
     
    good idea, i'll get the nominated sites and then use pollhost to make a poll

    Imakuni and JKaizer, its not really supposed to be a site. Just an award place thingy.

    you dont need to be. try using dreamweaver or something. go to macromedia.com and download the free trial. Then download a keygen
     
    Well using Freewebs will definately not help you. I learned from Mary, She was a member at PC in 2002. Anyway she told me to learn html.So I went on the web looked @ some HTML Sites and by Feb 2003 I had my own Website that I murdered last month. XD! I actually had 4 Website during 2003.
     
    Mine was all self taught i guess, i know a bit of everything... PHP, HTML, ASP, ASP.net, JSP a bit of Java and Flash (my BF is a flash and Java programmer). But, everything in the end has a bit of HTML in it. As thats the base of all coding in some way.
     
    If you want to make a decent looking site where people will submit their sites, you have to make it pleasing to the eye. Which requires HTML.

    It's not that hard to learn, so just do it.

    hmmm.. maybe
    you'd have to design the page, write em each week and let me know who 2-3 days in advance since i'd have to do the sceen shots and edit the awards and so on.. so can you?
