    Hi
While I use AssetStudio for rip the 3d model of Scorbunny from Pokemon Wave Hello (since the game is made in Unity), I found the National Dex numbers of the Galar Starters.
    I'ts just a curiosity.

I found National Dex numbers of Galar starters

    Grookey: 948

    Sobble: 951

    Scorbunny: 954

It catches my attention that the last pokemon in the current pokedex is Meltan, and its number is 809. Perhaps Grookey, Sobble and Scorbunny will not be at the beginning of generation VIII in the national dex?

The numbers used here are most likely the numbers in Sword and Shield's code rather than their National Dex numbers.

To add onto the above, it's true that numbers used for Pokemon assets in games don't match their dex number. Meltan's is 891. This suggests Meltan is more like a gen 7 Pokemon than 8, because usually a new gen has the number jump to the next 100 (see that link). Note also that gen 6 and 7's first entries are Furfrou and Mareanie, not the starters, and that there's gaps between them.

That said, that _is_ a neat finding there. If there's no gaps and assuming the first gen 8 Pokemon by asset number is indeed 901, then we have at least 56 new Pokemon. A pity this has some assumptions tied to it - for instance, Gigantamax forms don't find themselves with a lower asset number, etc.
