Not only do I not use them but when I go to trade them it says its to special to trade. Now I have useless pokemon I cant get rid of, why you do this!

Well, you could release them. They are nice from a collectors standpoint, but i agree, I don't use them. They just kind of sit there and do nothing but look pretty :P

I'm pretty sure you can trade event 'mons, just that it had to be directly with someone and not over GTS or WT

    ^ This is true

I don't mind if it's a Gamestop distribution while I'm at home because I have 4 different Gamestops that I know the location of less than 10 minutes out of the way of my daily commute, and I think another couple on surface streets I usually ignore. Still way more annoying than Wifi though.

I like some of the event mons (specifically the ones from Sinnoh) and will use Jirachi and Volcanion on my OU teams every now and then. But the gen 5-6 mythicals are ugly and pointless (outside lord Volc, who is still ugly), so I tend to stay away from them.

Well, this isn't what I was expecting from this thread at all.

It's rather annoying when you can't trade them, but as far as I'm aware there are no sixth generation event Pokemon you can't stick onto Pokemon Bank if you want to move them from your game...and why trade them when they might not come around again for a while?

Box them and forget about them, Bank them, or just release them if they irk you that much; you don't really need to trade them for anything because we have a lovely, reasonable Trade Corner where people don't automatically expect something ridiculously rare for something basic. They're just nice additions to your collection that you can get rid of easily, just like any other Pokemon.

Personally, I hate missing or not being able to get the things. I start a new game and I need to shift stuff off my game, which is fine, but I won't be seeing that shiny Beldum or special event Torchic with my OT again...

Of course, I hate it when some Pokemons are event only and people asking for them on the GTS. What is worse is that people are asking for impossible Pokemons on the GTS. Those requests needs to be declined by Nintendo.

However I just put useless on Pokemon Bank, when the pass expires those useless Pokemons will get deleted. I also trade them to the other Gen 6 save data will be deleted anyways.

Just check the Pokemon's nature before trashing them.

The event mons aren't useless at all. You do need them to fully complete the Pokedex. Also, they can make good trade fodder for good mons.

Not to sound rude, but if you don't like event pokemon, just don't get them, I mean i's not like the game forces you to get them or anything.

I myself like event pokemon, I find them really cool, and for a lot of people (including myself) events, such as the mythical pokemon, will be the first time that they get these special pokemon (gotta catch 'em all right?).

As a concept, I don't like events very much, as someone who got into playing the games by playing the old games, it's frustrating not being able to get the event because it was 7 years ago in a different country or something meaning I have to use a cheat device. But hey I guess it means these pokemon are a lot rarer.

If you have 1 of each (Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Manaphy, Phione, Darkrai, Arceus, Shaymin, Victini, Meloetta, genesect, keldo, hoopa, diancie, volcanion) that's only 15 which isn't much. Aside from that, don't get them if you really don't want them.

Like most of the other suggestions, if you don't want an event Pokemon then don't get it. But I would consider that questionable since mythicals are rare and a good collector always wants to get their hands on these events.
