I must be a comedian!

Haha, I do this sometimes, but often times I follow it up with something and try not to leave people hanging :P None of my friends are particularly guilty of this tendency to an extreme, but they throw them in once in a while.

I just absolutely hate it when people don't just reply for at least 2 hours, then they just reply to you with a "lul" and all your hard work and is just gone.

I can be a pretty funny guy when given the chance, but I can't for the life of me, hold a 1 on 1 convo, I'm too slow. The longest I've lasted in one of those before I ran out of things to say was about 8 minutes. Way below par. I don't use lol that much, and I don't like to keep anybody waiting, so I will reply asap.

Yea, I hate that too, but sometimes it's all that can be said :P What I find most amusing about it is that if all someone says is "lol", that probably means that what you said wasn't all that funny, despite the fact that lol stands for "laughing out loud".

To think, there was once a time when "lol" actually meant that you literally laughed out loud.

This happened to me on Facebook yesterday.
Spoiler:

It's probably partially my fault for responding the way I did, but I was trying to start a conversation with this person and all she does is reply back is "lol". Like what do I say back to that? You just killed the conversation here. I mean in this situation, she probably did "laugh out loud" , but I was hoping she'd say more. Oh well.

I love that xkcd comic so very much and you deserved better than that. <333

I seem to cause a lot of "lols" to be had. I don't particularly enjoy that, because there's not a lot you can do with that in terms of the conversation. Thankfully, I don't talk to people that are particularly tedious like that! (was that pretentious yep that was pretentious I'm going to pretentious hell)

I like it when people reply with "lulz" though because that results in me being able to make a clever follow up with my wide knowledge base of Dutch vocabulary that consists of "lul, paraplu, danke and dag." Unfortunately my clever follow up was hit back with a "lol" once which made me feel very sad inside.

I also had to remove that picture from the quote because I don't have 15 posts yet. Oh to be a noob~
