I need a new hobby!

It may not be getting up off your tushie active, but I could say that playing any PC or console game online competitively is a possibility.

There's plenty of game options and eSports can definitely be a thing if you need more squishy substantial 3d people around you, even if you don't need or want to get professional or win things by playing and having fun.

If you're looking into sports, hockey is the best. Hit harder than football players, better hand-eye than baseball players, more agile than soccer players, 1000x better than anything basketball has to offer. All while flying around at 30 mph on potential death blades!

reading, writing, drawing, playing video games, watching youtube videos and listening to music are my only hobbies... i also do research on my special interests and things.

Aside form above, learning stuff you're legitimately interested in is always fun. I keep learning (and re-learning) French and would like to next take on Japanese. I also want to pick up computer skills like Python and Hadoop (free through MIT and Big Data University). And if I could take a self-defense or martial arts class, that'd be fantastic.

Have fun! The world is your oyster(whatever that means)! And journaling at odd times is pretty fun.

Pls suggest your favourite hobbies haha. Now that I have no uni and only work I need a new hobby to keep my life exciting.

atm I gym & read and want something else stimulating/active, not something passive (eg watch more shows). Preferably something that doesn't cost too much to get into but! open to an investment if it's not too much

Magic the Gathering is pretty much the best hobby ever.

pls

I adore and can suggest you making art and learning smth new in your free time :) In my case I was very glad when I graduated because after that I finally had much more free time for myself and making things which I really like and want. You can try to learn a foreign language, it's always interesting and can be useful in some aspects of your life (for example, I'm learning Norwegian at the current time), the same is in case of art, for example, I finally had an opportunity for learning how to draw and also for handmade types too, like my favourite one, I mean quilling. Here's an example of works in this technique (it's a random pic, not my own work) :)

This hobby is very interesting, creative and definetely not expensive. Learning how to play various musical instruments is a cool idea too, also assembling and decorating wooden models https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1469570445/wood-trick-0, for me making smth with them is always such a relax :)
Different sports, collecting, cooking, photography, cosplay, travelling can be good ideas too. You can also try to search for the list of popular and rare hobbies, I'm sure that you'll find smth the best for you :)

I write fanfiction and try to make them as creative as possible without going off into the absurd, lol. I echo what others have said and say that you should go for trying an instrument. The one I chose is harmonica. It is very cheap (7 dollars and of good quality) and easy to learn, if you can get the hang of being able to blow in just one hole at a time, lol. :) After that, then you can just learn songs, lol. :)

Edit: Others I did that were pretty fun were origami. I tried knitting but it was just too frustrating, lol. :)
