I was playing pokemon HeartGold on an android emulator, EmuBox to be more specific. Then the emulator updated and when I opened the game again the game were starting from begining. I thougt i had lost my save, but in my archives I founded a ".dsv" backup file from the game. Im trying to discover a way of opening this archive with hope that I can continue playing from where I was, but no clue on how to open the file, and I don't even know if something can work. Anyone has an idea of what I can do?

Hello there, and welcome to the PC.

I moved your thread to, well, honestly I'm not sure what section this post belongs in, but it certainly doesn't belong in M&G.
You are more than welcome to make a proper 'Intro' thread in the M&G section later if you feel like it though!

Sorry for the confusion and thank you

Are you playing on your smartphone? Have you tried any other emulator? Generally, what works is replacing the new .dsv file with the backup one you have. To get a new .dsv file, play the game for the beginning and save it. Locate where the new .dsv file is and replace it with the backup one you have.
