Yeah, you kinda need hosting before you get a domain.

You could look at the free hosting thread, some of those may have domain hosting available.

Or you could just go with my favorite, and sign up for hosting at elixant.com :D
 
Well, with your comment on you need hosting before a you have a domain. Acutally its the other way around. You don't want to buy hosting and not have a domain. So its visa versa, you need to buy a domain before you buy hosting.
 
Most places will offer a subdomain if you buy their hosting and don't have a domain, so buy the hosting first, otherwise the domain's useless.

No... like www.elixant.com, if you buy a hosting package from them, they'll offer to host a domain if you have one, or you have have something.elixant.com

I haven't seen many hosts that won't do that...

What kind of stuff are you looking for? Like how much space, bandwidth, are you gonna be using php/mySQL, etc? I'll try to look for one if you tell me what you need.
 
I'm looking for enough space to make a decent sized site.

i don't know about the other stuff...

I am afraid I am even worse than a n00b......
 
Bandwidth is how much traffic a website gets. When people view your page, they have to download it (it's like 3 KB normall).

php/mySQL are just some other things you could learn and use on your pages.
 
I know what bandwith is....I will*hopefully* need a lot if my site becomes more popular when I add content and stuff ^^
 
Yeah, but bandwidth is hard to get ahold of... unless you know the webmaster personally. >.o
 
Webmastering isn't as easy as people make it out to be. >.o
 
If I were you, I'd probably go with the dot tk ...hosting. I'm gonna go ahead and upgrade that stinky proboards forum to phpBB or IF...whatever I can get a hold of first.

I wish i could see, but i'm not sure of the URL. Also sorry about the delete free hosts section. Arcanine got hacked the and hacker deleted alot of threads including that one.

I will make it again.
