Yeah same here, I didn't know there were other versions in other countries.
The guy got really excited when he clicked in his mind though. Figures huh, something we can answer easily all day takes a man almost 3 minutes to answer.
He probably did that on purpose to look funny. Everyone knows Pikachu and Ash. Even my Grandparents know Pikachu and Ash.

If everyone knew Pikachu and Ash why aren't there six billion people online on PC at this time. I'm sure the amount of people that know about Pikachu and Ash don't even come close to the total amount of people in the world. Hence, not "everyone" does.

Bear in mind please that they didn't grow up with it. They would call us idiots for... Not knowing who Dangermouse is. So, you cannot really say he was a fool, as he was too old for it, and adults don't really tend to play childrens games, or care to remember, as they have their nostalgic things. After all, everyone has heard of Pikachu, but some people do not remember exactly.
Though, gotta be honest, at least he remembered it after a while. Though, he did respond quite... Well, it was funny, him repeating it, and then saying that incredibly long sentence.

I think they should have confused the kids as well and used Satoshi instead of Ash. ;)
