Spinoff/Mobile I want to start Mystery Dungeon

well i guess the first question is what system do you have? or will you just be emulating the game? i personally think blue rescue team is a great starting place to just introduce you to the mechanics and such, but you can't go wrong with explorers of time/darkness/sky either, those being the most high acclaimed i've noticed. i'm probably not the best to answer this tho bc i haven't played anything past the explorers title, but they still seem to be called the best in the series tho so i guess that answers it somewhat aha. but pmd isn't something where you necessarily have to play all the games in the spin off to understand it. i don't believe the stories really connect in that way. so you're good to start anywhere, tbh.

I'd would recommend Sky, first and foremost. Sky has a lot more content and quality of life improvements over Darkness and Time. red/blue rescue team are also pretty good.

I wouldn't recommend Super unless you've played one of the other games before it, so start with either Red/Blue or Sky. You don't have to play Red Rescue Team/Blue Rescue Team in order to enjoy Explorers of the Sky, as it's a different story entirely.

Explorers of Sky > Super Mystery Dungeon. shaymin bias aside, it'd be a shame to miss out on what one of the most popular PMD games had to offer because there's a lot.

super mystery dungeon is ok, but i wasn't that crazy about it. if you decide to ever get a switch in the future, then i'd look into getting pmd dx as those are remakes of the original red/blue mystery dungeon games and are pretty fun to play through!
