Gambling amongst friends, yes. Making bets, always.
It started off a couple of years ago when my friends used to play Texas Hold'em Poker without any actual money, simply poker-like chips. After months of a seemingly ever-growing obsession in poker, we started gambling with little money, somehow insignificant since the winner used to invite the others to a restaurant or for drinks of some sort. This evolved, unfortunately, into something more as the addiction overwhelmed some of us, including myself, and we indulged on an ugly path in gambling. Now, not to sound arrogant or overconfident, but I was a great gambler so my wins surpassed my losses. But, I admit that I shouldn't have succumbed to gambling's effect (I blame my friend). Now, I am gamble-free for several months.
As for making bets, I still do it, particularly in football games or tennis tournaments. In this case, I am not addicted whatsoever so I can stop willingly. The last bet I made, and won, the Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona. The downside is I predicted the score wrong, so I won a partial of my bet.
