ICE•soft Hacking Team

Hi there! Welcome to my humble hacking team, ICE•soft! ICE•soft is a hacking team, and not a hack team. As such, it doesn't revolve around my hack, or one specific hack. No no no, this team is for people to join and get help from each member, and, similarly, receive help. For now, I think it would be safe to say that ICE•soft are Advanced Generation hackers, so that includes Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald, however Generation I, II, IV and possibly even V are welcome to apply, too! I have high hopes for this team, so I hope you would take a bit of time and apply. The chances of getting in are high, so what have you got to lose? Everyone is welcome to join, so don't dawlde!

This FireRed hack is led by Spherical Ice. With Generation IV and V Pokémon, some new tiles, new music, brilliant scripts and average maps, the Player faces a challenge of trying to stop the evil Team Element...or are they evil? Perhaps the arrival of the mysterious boy, CYAN, will change your luck?

ICe•soft are currently looking for Music Composers, Spriters, Mappers and ASM Scripters. Scripters and Misc. Inserters* are also up for hire, however not as important.

*Misc. Inserters includes at least one of the following: world map, titlescreen, bootscreen, tile and music inserters. Hover over the "Misc. Inserters" in the staff to see what the member can do.

Hm, well the tiles you've inserted are reasonably easy to insert anyway. I was looking more for music inserters and stuff, or pretty high-standard tile inserting. The mapping isn't the greatest, and not my preference of style. The scripting is okay, but I am not familiar with that style (Pokescript?), but it seems rather basic. For now, you're rejected, however if you can come back with some more impressive proof of work, I may reconsider.

Yes, the scripting is Pokescript (hope you don't mind, I just prefer it).
Honestly, that script I picked randomly from my hack. I don't have that much really "advanced" scripts in my hack, so I couldn't show you something that good. I'd be able to show you more advanced stuff, if you, say; give me a random script to do, and I'll do it (Of course, something reasonably difficult). Hope you don't mind this, I just think it would be a better way to show proof.

Well, if I'm honest, I don't like any of your work. The mapping is, put bluntly, bad, and the sprites could do with some selout, and either way, I don't particularly like the style (i.e Gen 4 wannabe). So yeah, rejected.

Well I'm not really an expert on mapping. Perhaps try posting in the map rating/review thread? Anyway, progress of DC is going rather steady. Let's say about 45% of the beta is done.

The maps are rather nice, although I'm not particularly a fan of the sideway stairs, as they cannot function properly on an Advanced Gen. hack. It's quite good proof of tile inserting and mapping though. Welcome aboard~
