Idea for a new type of competitive battle

I would think that the battle style would be kind of cool... but what do i know? A nd could you quit the trapinch signature? It gets annoying after seing at a million times

That will just be there a little longer (like a week or so) so bear with it until then xD

And regarding this, me and Gofre already started putting the criteria for the battles up for you all and we will talk to a mod in a day or two after getting it more organized and also the only uber allowed would be Phione since the stats are low but high at the same time so don't worry you wont get OHKO by it, specially with the things we have came up already xD

This sounds fun, I would do it :) except i would put on a more specific criteria to stop hard-knock pokes being used, Eg:
*Pokes must be Lvl5 at the most
*All pokemon must be base form
*The pokemon must be able to evolve
*The maximum total of base stats per poke is 350

How does that sound? If you decide to do it tell me and Im in :)

Here is a list of Pokemon with a Total Base of 360 or less, I did this because i though Elekid Deserves a place in this. I also filtered out those who cannot evolve.

how about all lvl 1s, I already do that occasionally with people. You can't use any pokemon that don't evolve, such as Heracross, Pinsir, Lapras, etc. and they can't be evolved forms, even if they are lvl 1, like any of the Insence Pokemon i.e. Marill, Snorlax, Roselia, etc.

They are some pretty intense, though short, battles, and the teams pretty much change constantly since it is so easy to just breed a new team.

At level 1, all stats are either 5, 6, or 7. Not fun.

Another thing about it is that the Pokemon must have always had an evo. No Sneasel or Tangela, too strong.

Guys dont worry me and Gofre ar covering everything up, you will see in some days how much effort we have putted into it and also how it would be.

We got a hackproof no failing system so just lay back and see ^_^

Hey guys dont worry because me and Gofre got everything covered up, we have a strong hackproof and fun system that will make EVERYTHING fair and fun at the same time ^_^ isnt that cool?

And also i will start helding baby tournies when everything is up and the prizes will be pretty much really good (to incentivate people on participating there are more than just three places in our tour`s).

Also archer you missed some pokes inside the list, like Pikachu, he aint a baby, Pichu is in that evo line xD and also Staravia isnt one either its Starly and no Loudred Whishmur is, baby pokemon stands for the first evolution not the rest xD Because some of the pokes cant be obtained at the rule we are going to put in and we just decided to ban them and stay with the babies as it is xD.

Well people just stick around and you will see a lot of things going on :3

Interesting idea. ^^ The only drawback is the game would be more of luck. It's almost impossible to get more than 4 EVs into a pokemon before it reaches level 5. You'll need a lot of TMs too if you want to have any good moves on your pokes. (I'm good on that though. I think...haha)

I'd be interested in joining the tournament if it's made. I've done something similar of level 1 pokemon, that didn't work so well because that was all luck. (Like a flamethrower killing my Wooper, most messed up thing ever. xD)

Give me a PM when you're ready to have the tournament. If you need any help, I could help organize it if you wish. I'm off for break now and I have a lot of time on my hands. ^^

It's possible to fully EV train a Pokemon before level 5. There's a guide somewhere on Smogon, it involves a lot of EXP Shares and vitamins.

Thats a challenge for you then, seeing how well you can EV. If you can efficiently fit enough points in at a low level, surely you stand a chance of winning?

Ok i guess a spoiler is good xD S you guys don't go aggro on us he he

- The battles will be 4v4 Because 6 pokemons will take too long and 3 would be just a little.

- The max lvl is 25 (by then you can fully EV if your smart and rich)

I hope this info makes people happy and more interested in what we are trying to accomplish in here ^_^ This project will evolve the way we think about certain pokes and will truly help us on becoming better trainers :3

Well thats all the spoilers i can give at the moment but hang in there, my pc got its internet back so now i can work faster on putting everything on so we`ll talk later.

Theres this idea that has been running through my mind lately and its...

Using baby Pokemon's to battle, such as eevee, charmander, totodile, etc. Only the ones that can evolve, Pokemon's such as heracross cant fit into the category because, ok, hes what we would call a baby Pokemon but hes stats are way too high to be considered into the category D: Also only pokemon that can evolve are inside the category

I think that making a team with only baby pokemon should be easier, less time consuming and more fun to try hence its just awkward to use baby Pokemon's to battle xD.

I would love to see positive feedback toward this thread since its something revolutionary that may change the way we do competitive battles in a lot of ways ^_^

Toodles :3 C&S plox

Heracross isn't a "baby Pokémon", but a "basic" one (you can blame the TCG for this).

Don't allow Phione.

Any "baby Pokémon", such as Pichu, can enter.

Am I understanding this "baby clause" of yours correctly?

As co-creator of this thread i can comfirm we are not allowing phione. As well as settin a limit to base and baby pokemon (Baby evoultions being considered base pokemon), we setting a limit on the maximum total of base stats, as to stop people using aerodactyl just cuz he's a base :)

EDIT: Not co-creator of the thread, but co-creator of rules and general helper to unit, he gets the credit :)

I forgot about the vitamins. xD Yeah so you can get up to 100 in the stats you want to EV train in. The problem is, well in my opinion, we won't get the complete benefit from EV training. They evenly add themselves as the pokemon levels up. So if you got 252 in one stat, divide by four (because we're playing of level 25) and you get 63. Divide that by four and you get 15.75. So that's all the bonus you'll get by level 25 if you fully EV train in one stat. Not that much in my opinion, but nonetheless, great idea and I will work on it.

P.S. It might be hard to keep the pokemon at level 25, and not accidentally go over. Especially if you go through the Elite Four with Experience Share. (I reached about 27 first time through experience sharing from level one.) Just a heads up though...might take a while to get a good team. I'll start working on one. xD

Are Sonicboom and Dragon Rage still banned at lv25?

Also I can confirm that it's possible to fully EV a Pokemon at level 5. It helps that 252 isn't max anymore, something around 170 is. Max depends on the base stat, I'll see if I can find that Smogon guide.

I'd say that Dragon Rage is, at least. Sonic Boom, maybe.

I agree that Dragon Rage should be banned still. What would our max HP be around? 100+ for high HP pokemon? 40 is just too much. Sonicboom I'll have to see what others say.

I understand about being able to fully EV train a pokemon by level 5, it doesn't matter though because not all the work you put into would go into effect. That's the problem. Doest matter though, you'll get at least some boost.

How is 170 max when you can get up to 255 EVs in two stats? (Then you're done because you can only put 510 in each pokemon)

Not quite. You still have six left over, with which you can slightly boost a third stat.

Of course you can put 255 in one stat. But after 170 or so, it won't have any effect. Like after 252 you aren't boosting stats anymore in level 100 Pokemon.

No you don't. I said 255, max is 510. I know what I'm talking about. (You're thinking of the 252, which is more reasonable then 255, I mentioned earlier.)

How so? I still don't understand because in competitive teams I've seen, a lot of pokemon have 252/4 spreads.

EDIT: I'm so confused. xD I know 252 is the top that can be helpful (because it has to be divisible by four, 255 leaving an extra useless 3). I'm asking why you say after 170 it's pointless to go any further. Is it because the stats won't be added in after that until level 100?

Oh, whoops. My bad.

Anyway, even without leveling up, doesn't the Pokémon's stats change accordingly when you use vitamins?
