If Pokemon existed, would you let your 10 year old go on a Pokemon adventure?

Me? Not at all. I really don't understand why parents in the Poke world are okay with it, sending their children especially at such a young age out into the unknown. Other than the obvious hazards, what about school?

Sometimes I think parents in the real world are bad, but geez, seems like most parents in the Pokemon world are REALLY bad!

The Pokemon world is also good and perfect no rapists or killers but all nice people with the occasional fail of a team as for natural dangers i think the norm is for them to let there kids have that responsibility to be safe.

Lol good point, but apperantly they dont age either so u never kno

No, I wouldn't it is stupied they could get hurt or worse.

haha have you played HG SS and seen Red's parents? "I havent heard anything from him since he left" My parents would be going crazy if they didnt see me in a couple of months, she must be crazy if she didnt at least call the police or something lol

Of course I would. Kids need to toughen up eventually. nothing like sending them out into the wild with a dangerous creature to build character and make a man out of them. ^_^

Keep in mind they're with loyal, extremely powerful creatures that humans can't stand up to. Think of them as a 'babysitter'.

No, I wouldn't. First off, I wouldn't force my kids to walk the routes between towns; I'd wait till they were 16 or 17 and had a driver's license and give them something like an older Buick Century to travel in. I'd feel a lot safer that way.

Second, those wild Pokemon, they can zap you, they can shoot fire at you, they can freeze you solid, and they can use their minds or shadowy energy to harm unsuspecting kids. Sure eventually they'll be loyal, but they sure don't start out that way.

Third, I'd want my kids to finish their education, at least through high school. I'd like them to go to college as well, but if they're that adamant about training Pokemon... Still, I want them to at least graduate from high school so they have some option to fall back on if the training thing doesn't pan out.

I wouldn't. Only because I wasn't able to go on the adventure when I was young. xD

But if I did have that opportunity, I'd want my child to experience it too.

Well...first I'd give him/her my Dragonite "just for emergencies", i.e. they're losing and're going to have no money left afterwards, so send out Dragonite to defeat the lv.5 Rattata.

I'd also teach them not to pass out every time they lose...and not to give money to wild pokemon. Oh, and also that the best way to defeat Bad Guys is to punch them, steal their pokeballs, and then tie them up...yeah, I'd also tell them Caterpie's String Shot should not be under-estimated....

I would not. I mean, yeah that world is safer. There's no really awful people, but letting them go out with only a little squirtle or whatever to protect them, that's just crazy. Especially with all those gangs running around.

I would, but i'd journey with them and give them a very reliable pokemon that i've been with for years, then when i think they are responsible enough i would help them out buying a house and leave them on thier own.

There's a lot of things wrong in the Pokemon world. I'd just go with them for fun. Or give them a lawnmower.

    Spoiler:

Well the Pokemon world seems safe enough. If it was Pokemon in our world on the other hand, I would not let them go.

Even if I lived in the Pokemon world, I doubt I'd let my kid go until they were at least 12.

I would not let them. I want my own Pokemon to dominate the world. I don't want to sit on the sidelines and watch. I'll go by myself!

Nope, mainly because i don't have any kids. But if i had i wouldn't want him/her to end up like Ash :s

I would. It would let them learn to be safe while having fun. They wouldnt be that unsafe because they'd have their pokemon with them.

Would I let my 10 Year Old Go on an Adventure

Most definitely not. I have an 11 year old brother, and he struggles to do his Math homework. I remember we accidentally left him somewhere and he was in tears when we went to pick him up. I doubt 10 year olds could go on an adventure, although people have been known to achieve great feats, so who knows.

I would but only when they've finished school/education. Plus I'd make sure that they'd have enough money and a strong Pokemon so they don't get into trouble.

Also I would make sure they had a house, or somewhere to live in so they could go home.
