Simple thread kinda. If you had a multi million budget, licensing a great dev team and a long deadline, what sort of game would you make? What system would it be for? If it was on PS3 or 3DS would it utilise 3D? It could be a remake, completely original or a sequel/prequel to an exisiting game.

I'd probably make my gam for the PSP and the DSi/3DS, it'd be a colourful, fresh RPG with mini games, customisable characters, extensive areas, multiplayer aspects and console exclusive features (ie the 3DS will be 3D and have a few different bosses to the DSi, which insead will make use of it's camera and the PSP will use the memory stick duo/it's mic)

So, what would you guys make?

Mine would be for 3DS. It would support 3D but it would only be there if people really want it, and it wouldn't be made with 3D in mind. I mainly chose 3DS over DS for the graphical capabilities, and didn't chose PSP because I'm a fanboy, and ideally it would be Developed by Intelligent Systems (Nintendo first party) and Published by Nintendo...And Capcom will have some involvement...(Oh god if my 3 favourite companies ever made a game together I would die.)

It would be a post apocalyptic, neo-fantasy strat-RPG in the vein of Fire Emblem but with exploration similar to that of other mainstream RPGs (Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest etc.). Exploration will really just be there for those who want it, as it would include a Dead Space like navigation system for those who just want to carry on with the story and get into the core gameplay. Although it's set in a post apocalyptic world it would not be without vivid colours, not always particularly bright, but Blues, Purples, Greens will be there and the like, it won't be a grey-fest. It will include vast customization options and a deep class and leveling system.

I'd also make a shooter, playable in both third and first person that's purely online. It'd be kind of like LBP in concept, you'd be able to customise everything, your gun's colour, camo, attatchments, parts, paint jobs etc, make your own maps, edit viechles, your loadout, your character's physical appearance, just about everything. There'd be different ranking systems, clans, regular updates, moderstors, a strong emphasis against camping etc. It'd be for PS3 first, then 360 and PC after. Mainly because everyone knows what M$ is like and I know I'd get a ludicrois pay off just so they can have something off of Sony.

A war photojournalism game. Pokemon Snap meets Call of Duty. you have to make serpentine movements from trench to trench in order to stay alive and get those pictures. Moral choice system comes in the form of choosing to publish propaganda photos or honest photos.

Remnds me of MGO(Metal Gear Online) I would create a game like MGO. I used to love that game actually im thinking bout quitting plAYin MW2 and go back to MGO. I love games where u can customize everything even your name.

Well sweeties, I'll probablly develop just for Nintendo and create psudo-retro games and arcade style games, and bring back old genres such as beat em ups, but with a weird twist and sense of humor.

I'm actually trying to make one in pure 6502 ASM. XD

Yeah but this wouldn't be as limited as MGO (which I loved as well lol) in terms of scale etc, think LBP meets battlefield meets MGO.

Thordain that idea is actually really good, I'd buy it.

I'd make a 3DS sequel to Deadly Creatures. That would be frickin' terrifying. Not just creppy spiders and scorpions, but SPIDERS AND SCORPIONS IN 3D JUMPING AT YOUR FACE AAARRRGGGGHHHH

I'd head up The Pokemon Company for a bit and release Pokemon: Are You Happy Now? Version.

A 3DS game with customizable characters, utilizing a system not unlike PBR. Directional movement as seen in the Gamecube games, a head-bonkingly huge region with an MMO mode- and I think this could really happen, somehow- where other people appear in the normal game world, and it would have multiplayer attractions scattered throughout. Perhaps a server system would be handy. Team Rocket would return for a time, giant mechas intact, and these would serve as "boss fights", complete with their own movesets and stuff. Perhaps you could obtain one after a while. Tools replacing HMs, because it would work better for that sort of environment. Perhaps I'd offset the convenience with a weight limit on your pack. Then there would be backpack upgrades, like freeing up your bag in Mystery Dungeon. It would break genre with the online functions for 1st or 3rd person shooters, or a racing game.
And people would cry tears of joy, I'm sure.

I would buy gamefreak, and make pokemon:

    Customizable characters
    All four regions
Epic storyline, wait, this is my hack I'm working on in my sig!

So yeah, basically the hack in my sig, but for 3DS which GAMEFREAK hasn't signed up to develop on it, I mean WTF? Sign up already!

I'd join Genius Sonority, Game Freak and Nintendo and create the much-needed sequel to Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness on the Wii, or maybe even on the Nintendo 3DS (or maybe the same games separately for each console?). Something pre- or post-apocalyptic would be a nice addition to the storyline, and maybe the return of special Pokémon (Shadow ones, or something else).

Another one of my ideas is to create a remake of every handheld console Pokémon game for the Wii. That means seeing Pokémon R/B/Y, G/S/C, R/S/E, D/P/Pt games and so on on your own television screen. Wouldn't that be epic? With impressive graphics and nice, smooth textures (like that in XD), that would be a pretty cool thing to see happen.

I'd make an Online FPS that doesn't suck.
    Balanced Gameplay.
    Balanced Weapons.

I guess I'd make something similar to Halo, In that case.

Definitely football chairman, there is enough manager games now I want to run the club completely.

You can either run it normally or corruptly by bribing referees, doping players or bribing the opposition.

Probably a J/RPG game. Almost The Sims levels of customisation on characters, large cast and epic, sweeping storyline with online capabilities such as 1v1 duels and a small MMO mode.
It would likely be either a sci-fi or mediaevally set game.
As for platform, I'm not sure. Probably multi-platform over all three home consoles and PC.

Personally, I'd work on a revolutionary city sim that provides a very realistic simulation of cities. There's quite the clamor for something like that amongst Sim City 4 fansites. It'd defninitely have to be a PC game, though.

That would be such an insta-buy for me. I've suddenly been playing SC4 an awful lot recently and would love something like that.

An adventure game in the lines of Banjo-Kazooie and Zelda. Exploring great amounts of overworlds looking for clues and beating enemies in the process. Maybe a quest to find someone lost. No great evil, only great obstacles. Lots of walking and searching, and battling.

An open-world RPG, with some JRPG-like qualities (like a more character-driven story) with turn-based combat and a player-designed main character. The world would have really diverse landscapes - huge cyber-punk style cities, deserts, jungles, ruins, etc. Graphics would be a blend of realism and exaggerated semi-cartoony style. Full of sidequests, bizarre weapons and clothing, buckets of gore, moral choices, dialogue trees, multiple endings and lashings of dark humor. For PS3.

...So basically all the things I love in a game mashed together. :'D
I think about these things way too much.

I want to make a game about illegal immigration to America which will represent immigrants in a positive way.

The story will be about three Mexican girls who live in a town which has been taken over by criminals because all of the men in the town went to America in search of better money. One day the three girls all go to the cinema together and watch the Magnificent Seven which gives them an idea to go to America and find seven strong Mexican men who immigrated there and bring them back to liberate their town from the bandidos!

In the game you will have to sneak into America. The game will be basically a series of minigames like there will be driving bits where you have to drive to Tijuana, and some bits where you have to work as a cook so you can pay bus fares, and also stealth bits when you are sneaking across the border.

The purpose of the game would be to highlight the difficulties that the poor people in Mexico have to face!
