We've created a new version of the Ikarus' Lost Property tileset patch, that fixes bugs and inconsistencies when running on emulators (as it was originally made for PokeMMO). The patch adds Gen 4 styled tilesets to all outdoor maps, making the game bright and colourful while giving each town a unique look - see the screenshots linked below for some examples!

    Compatibility:
The patch is made for Fire Red only and uses the following offsets:
    06FFCD - 07008D
    26D37C - 3AB873
    7B0001 - 7D006F
    900000 - 953F82
    EA1B68 - EA463B

The original Ikarus' Lost Property patch can be found here.

[PokeCommunity.com] Ikarus' Tileset Patch v3 (Fixed Version) - Gen 4 Tiles for Fire Red

To avoid graphical bugs with some tiles, we've had to disable all the door animations. However, the Poke Center/Mart, Gym and all indoors elevator door animations still exist in the ROM despite being unused. These can be accessed and repointed using Door Animation Editor, however the outside doors can cause bugs with the a few other tiles. Inside doors such as elevators are fine to reactivate, however we also disabled those to keep it consistent with the others as a stylistic change

Is compatible with HUBOL cfru dpe ? And you make a very good and best patches with affordable offset you are great if this compatible I'm definitely use it please tell me and sorry for my bad english :(

It solves a lot of bug from v2.4, but i've tried to insert D/N cycle in my rom, with D/N encounters, and with v2.4 all works well, with this one the games crash encounting a pokemon, is there a way to fix this?

What D/N patch r u using? The offsets that this patch uses are listed in OP - it should work with the CFRU D/N. And maybe the old DNS tool although we haven't tested that

Nice work, everybody loves kyledove's interiors

    Hey @LibertyTwins ,
I really love using this patch, thank you for fixing it!
I just have a short question: Is there any way to fix the door animations again afterwards? I tried to use Luho's ( i think that was his name) animation door editor, it even shows the missing animated tiles. However when i try to load it into a file for the rom it always says "The palette file is missing". So I hoped maybe you know of a way to fix this. Thank you very much :)

    Hi,

We intentionally removed the door animations for two reasons:
    1. There is a significant bug when the animations are used. When entering a doorway, a glitched animation would also appear over some of the other tiles on screen. For example, when entering a house in Fuchsia, the roof tiles on the nearby houses would glitch as the animation plays. We couldn't find a way to fix this.

    2. The different door animations were originally on overlapping tile numbers, so the tileset would need to be manually moved around to fix this.

To restore them, you'll need to use Advanced Door Animation Editor. See the tile number for the door - you have to put the animation onto that door, but if there are any other doors that share the same tile number, that animation would then apply to those doors as well, so you'd have to move the doors in the tilesets. Example: in Tileset 1, say there's a door on Tile 100, then you'd have to add your animation to Tile 100. But if there's also a door on Tile 100 in Tileset 6 or another one, then that will also use the animation for the different door, so you'd have to make sure that none of the doors are on matching tile numbers for any of the tilesets.
Sorry if my explanation is a bit rough - my brother was the one who made and fixed the patch, so I'm only wording what I've been told 😅 but basically it would be pretty hard to fix, which is why we made the decision to remove the animations despite originally wanting to include them. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much! I will try my best to get something done with this! :)
