I'm in dire need of help.

If you intend on using this team in competitive battles, you should probably switch some members. All Dragon's not gonna help at all, but here's some move advice if you really plan on keeping the same exact Pokemon on the team (even if I'm not really an expert).

- Garchomp, Lv. 100, Brave
Dig
Dragon Claw
Stone Edge
Earthquake

It's either Dig or Earthquake. Pick one and erase the other for something else. Stone Edge'll help with the Ice types, and on offense it seems pretty well off movewise. Perhaps a defensive move if not a decent fire move; Stone Edge won't do enough damage to dual Ice types like Piloswine.

- Dragonite, Lv. 100, Mild
Dragon Claw
Fly
Stone Edge
Earthquake

Fly's not a very good move. Doesn't do enough damage and makes you extra vulnerable to Thunder. Dragonite's a pretty varied Pokemon. It can learn several moves other than those of it's type. Like before, a fire move wouldn't hurt. And, somewhere in the team you could throw in a unique move to maximize the amount of types you cover. Dragonite can learn Thunderbolt, and so far you have nothing good against Water...

- Salamence, Lv. 100 Modest
Dragon Claw
Fly
Stone Edge
Earthquake

Yet again, Fly's a bit risky. Areial Ace of some other Fling move would work just as well, if not better. Salamene is a strong attacker. Try to give it one or two moves that'll put down a ton of damage when you need it, and of different types to cover the majority of foes. Yet again, Ice is a porblem that fire could help with.

- Altaria, Lv. 100, Naughty
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Fly
Earthquake

Fly again... At this point, it's like each Pokemon is just a copy of the last one, with a bit of difference it stats! They shouldn't all have the same moves; or you may as well have a team of six Dragonites with Fly, Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Dragon Claw! By the way, I do believe Altaria can learn some varied moves. Considering you can't do any status problems at this point, re-teaching it Sing wouldn't be a bad idea.

- Kingdra, Lv. 100, Gentle
Rain Dance
Waterfall
Ice Beam
Surf

Right here is when the team has an at least decent, less just "I'm usin' all Dragons! WHOO!" feeling. As for the move set, get rid of surf or waterfall now. You only get one. If you're doing double battles, get rid of surf since it'll hurt your side as well. If not, get rid of waterfall. Two water attacks is completely unnecessary. Kingdra's a useful Pokemon since it's only weakness if Dragon, but it can be good on offense as well. Teach it a move that's unique to it's type, in the place of the forgottem Water HM. Also, keep Rain Dance. It could come in handy if you need to change the weather, or need a boost on water attacks.

- Flygon, Lv. 100, Timid
Dragon Claw
Fly
Stone Edge
Earthquake

Here we are again with the same situation as before. If you've read the others, you'll understand how the same works here.

These things are only meant to help if you really, really want to keep these same members. But, even with this (or even better advice), this team NEEDS some variety in type if you EVER hope to do anything in competitive battles. Better natures wouldn't hurt either...

NO! Why do you have 5 pokemon with earthquake!? But that's besides the point. At least have a dragon THEMED team or you are destroyed by: 1:Possibly ice punch electivire. 2: Froslass. 3: Starmie. And 4:Possibly blastoise. Recommendation:Fraligater for kingdra, charzard for altaria and get rid of earthquake on altaria!

Hey. Thanks for all the help, everyone.
I only use an "all dragon" team because I'm a leader on the other site I'm on.
Well I'm gonna try to pay more attention to natures, from now on. (It's even in my signature.)
Thanks again. :)
The topic poster probably came here so he could get a better moveset. Not lectured by competitive battlers who IMHO, waste time getting IVs and EVs.

You people are nasty. You're like a mechanical company who refuses to service someone's car because you don't like the look of a customer.

Meh. That doesn't matter. As long as it's not personal, I'm content to take any kind of criticism.

First off, that's terrible advice. The Natures are extremely important factors in a battle, and should never be overlooked.

Second, the pirate dialect is kind of annoying.*
I overlook them because they do not matter to me. If I asked for a better moveset, would you give it to me?

Just give him a moveset that is better aswell as some passing advice about how awful his team is for competitive battling. If he cares enough he'll make effort to waste time for it. Otherwise he'll be scared away from competitive battling community...

*Oh please.

Well, Dragons (by themselves) are powerful. However, when they're all grouped together, they just become giant ICE BEAM PLX targets. Try replacing a good number of your team with dragonesque Pokemon, like Charizard, Gyarados, Aerodactyl, or Milotic if you're allowed.

EDIT: Lawl @ Improfane. Competitive battling is SRS BUSINESS. Like, more SRS than the whole internets. Srsly.

Actually, I'm not allowed. I was only allowed Gyarados, but it didn't go over so well. So, I replaced it with Kingdra.

Yowch, what a bunch of tightwads. There are really only five useable dragons in the entire game (Altaria fails at life.). Couldn't they be nice to the one type that needs as much variety as it can get?

Wow. Speaking of useless post, here's one here! Thanks for sticking your nose where it has no business being. At least give advice. And good advice. This is STRATEGIES & MOVESETS. Duh. Get over yourself, please.

Oh. So it's supposed to be all dragons

Well, in that case I'd say it's a fairly decent team if you're the kind who doesn't care much about EVs and Natures (like me... yeah...)
Other than the moves, as I said before. Better flying moves, no more Dig, and a few Fire/possibly Electric attacks (perhaps some status-effecting and status-problem moves as well) and it'd be fairly decent in that respect.

Thanks. But I'm starting to care more about EVs/Natures. And as for Dig/Fly: They're no more! :) The only reason I haven't lost a gym challenge is 'cause I've only gotten 3, and all three wins were luck.

The irony of your post is delicious.

Hang on. No. This topic title explicitly asks for help. Did you read the topic title? 'I am in dire need of help'. He wants you to help him, not just dismiss it altogether.

Strategies doesn't always mean IVs/EVs, Strategies means making a solution with incomplete information. If you can strategise with NO EVs/IVs then you are still strategising. Let that be a task to the reader: someone do a 0EV and 0IV competition.

If something smells wrong I'll follow my nose to fix it, thankyou.
* I don't get how this is really relevant to my post. It's nothing to do with me. It's to do with being polite.

This is the place for COMPETITIVE BATTLING. Coming out of nowhere and calling everyone sthck up & inpolite is simply stupid. Yes, EV/IV are VERY IMPORTANT in competitive battling, like it or not. Try to dispute that. A team of fully EV trained pokes can and will masacre a team that is not. Strategy is important, but a person who has fully EV trained pokes can be just as good at strategiezing, AND has Well-trained pokes.

If he has a major problem, we will mention it. Hands down. We gave him a set, AND explained his weaknesses. If you or him has such a big problem, you can go to another site. Hell, he said he has no problem withthe critisism. You are the only person here who has not done anything to help, rather you just say how mean we are. If we are doing it so rudely and not giving him what he wanted, why didn't you at least give him movesets? No one asked for your opinion of us, and neither did the threadmaker.

You are the only one here not contributing, but actually flamming members. We're nasty? More like brutally honest.

Uh oh, someone call the waahmbulance! Seriously, whining about EVs doesn't make you look cool, because at the end of the day, we're still talking about Pokemon. Now kindly GTFO.

Also, my apologies to Synyster, since this thread will likely be locked and banhammered very soon.

So in the end, rude as we are, you are the only one here who has done nothing to benifit the threadmaker, you just whine about how mean we are.

I'm not whining. I wrote a battle system to imitate the games as closely as possible. I doubt even the Pokemon developers can defeat the best players. They don't play the game, they make it.

I don't like grinding. That is all.

I'll GTFO, sure. Happily.

But you guys suck donkeys.

All of you are acting childish D: Debate about competitive battles somewhere else, seriously. You're just going off-topic for the wrong reasons. And if you do move to another topic, be mature about it.

Get on topic or I'll start deleting posts and/or handing out warnings.
